Expanded Foods is my only mod and I also have it installed under Appdata. I'm not sure if it stores the data elsewhere, but I don't think so. I have no idea why it would be an antivirus issue because I don't use one. So if that's the problem...  I have no idea how to fix that. The exper.dll file is what has all the C# code in the mod, but you're only having issues with boiling stuff, right?

True, I only have issues boiling in saucepans / cauldrons. Well...there _may_ be some other issues, like... if I stack more than 1 jug of drinkable liquid, it never runs out when I drink it, or it runs out VERY slowly. And I can boil more than 4 liters of water into salt, but it takes FOREVER and the water goes up to 900 degrees, but those aren't crash bugs you know.

Because of the large changes done to liquids in the latest game version, I thought it had to do with portion sizes or something, but it doesn't happen for you so I really don't know.

You do have the built-in Windows defender though, right? You haven't actively _disabled_ the only antivirus you have?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I can't seem to add or remove the lid on the saucepan/cauldron.

@l33tmaan silly thought: When testing do you make the materials form creative mode or from resources that you harvested and processed? And do the others test them this way?

Asking in case there are metadata attached one way that are not the other.

I grab the base ingredients from creative mode and then I place them in the mixing bowl. I don't think that should matter, though. I wouldn't be too surprised if it did.

Yes! I just tried it and I can. Oooh, and when it's placed on a table I can put the lid on, but then I can't pick it back up again unless I remove the lid. Maybe that's intentional?

Yes, that is intentional.

I may have a new clue. I tried using the Cauldron to move wine from one barrel to another. It worked great for FULL barrels, but when a barrel had 5.9 liters of wine, I had a similar crash! Maybe it _does_ have to do with fractional portions. I will have to try producing integer liters of bone broth.

I'll address these in order:

  • I don't get any flickering, regardless of what block/fuel I put in the firepit. Then again, I'm also in an empty creative world.
  • Uh, that probably shouldn't be happening.
  • For me, it makes the sound like it's trying to place it, but I don't lose any bottles. You say they totally vanish?
  • Yeah, pie doesn't like extra nutrition anymore for some reason. Still looking into it.
  • I had to change the recipe a bit and it seems to require yogurt + 1 other of any item in order to actually make it. I think that's new? I swear it wasn't like that in 1.15. There's always some other problem hiding I need to fix...
  • I haven't really touched mod compatibility stuff at all yet, Wildcraft especially.
  • Yeah, you can't use whole veggies in salads, either.
  • Easily fixable, if tedious. I like fixing jsons more than C#.
  • You can use liquids in salads, just 0.1 L worth.
  • I have their `maxContainerSlotStackSize` defined in their jsons, but... it's not doing anything. Nor does it seem to do anything when I change the cooking pot's `maxContainerSlotStackSize`, so I suspect something happened on the back end that completely ruined this entire attribute. I hope not!
Edit: It's just a separate attribute now. I fixed it. :)

Hi again l33tman!

  • New server and new install, with the latest testing version still has the flickering of cauldrons. Annoying but not a huge deal, honestly.
  • The water problem seems to be related to cauldrons not able to place source blocks like buckets. Tested it by simply trying to empty a cauldron fo water into an empty 1x1 block.
  • Yeah, bottles totally vanish. We've lost a lot of bottles to the ether this way. The placing sound is heard, and a bottle is removed from the hotbar, but does not get placed. It happens not just on surfaces (floors, tables, etc) but also on bottle racks if you right click a bottle onto a rack slot already containing a bottle. It basically happens anytime we right click with a full or empty bottle in hand without crouching, even when aiming at walls.
  • The cauldron sizes are working properly now, yay!

No, it works like pressing anything else. I just pressed some right now.

screw press top down but they just turn into wet mash. The fruitpress on the left was made before the mod was installed and the one on the right was made after the mods install and neither seem to work? do you need to press a certain amount in order to get oil out?

Probably, 0.63 liters might not be enough to start pressing. Try putting a full stack of flax grain or seeds in there, it requires more than pressing fruit does.

Yup! looks like the minimum is 4 liters of output anything less and it doesn't press. Thank you!

Need Help! Ver 1.5.3-pre.4

For the life of me, I can't find why I cant see the screw press recipe. I can see every other one (mixing bowl, meat rack, rolling pin ect.)

This is a wonderful mod! Not sure what I did, but let me know if there is any additional information that can help figure this out.

Thanks!

Recipe requests - your discretion on final ingredients :D - Love this mod!

Jambalaya: Sausage, Crawfish, Onion, Peppers, Rice, Salt

Crawfish Etouffee: Crawfish, Onion, Peppers, Rice, Salt

I'm pretty sure you can  actually make that exact jambalaya recipe (sans the crawfish since I don't have More Creatures compatibility) right now.
Either way, both need roux! I'm not going to be adding any new recipes until I release Expanded Foods 1.6, though. Gotta get everything squared away for 1.5.4 first.

Does anyone has problem with preparing lard, as me? I used to make lard on saucepane. Now I can't. Now the recipe says that I have to cook 10 units of fat cookes to 1 l of lard, but on the saucepan I can put only 4 units of fat in 1 block.

Yeah, you might want to make a cauldron instead. The saucepan cannot handle the power of lard.
Oh wait, it's 10 fats to make 0.01 L of lard. Heh, that ain't right. I'll fix that.

I wonder if the liquid/saucepan/cauldron crash could have anything to do with regional PC settings, like if your computer uses a decimal point or decimal comma.

Why would that only affect the saucepan & cauldron, though?

Thank you. I'm waitng for that. BTW, in the cauldron I can't make lard as well.
