My mistake, I had the tick update on high for testing and forgot to put it back down. It should now be at a reasonable update rate and should no longer run on server.

The welcome mat stopped working in v2.3.1 with v1.16.4-rc.2. When I play normally on my server, the merchant time slowly goes down for a while, then it gets stuck saying a merchant will arrive in less than a day. The merchant never arrives, and eventually the mat says they will arrive in 3 days.

In a creative single player world, using the time command, the arrival time goes down from 4 to 3 days. However, once it reaches 3 days, it is stuck. No matter how much time I add, it always says the merchant will arrive in 3 days.

Would it be possible to add brief mentions of quenching and the Welcome mat's requirements to the handbook guide?

The mod page has no mention of them so when the mat didn't spawn a merchant I came to this thread hoping to find mention of its requirements. While I'm not sure I found my answer (I guess it needs a bed and a container in adjacent blocks?) I did discover what quenching was! I'd only seen it in the config file and since I'm not a native speaker I thought it was a mod-specific term 😄

Also the bendy chute doesn't seem to pass items along, I tried to use it as an elbow piece to connect a hopper to a pulverizer but items just get stuck in it. A regular elbow piece in the same spot passes items into the pulverizer just fine.

Hey, is anyone having issues with the sluice box not working properly? Sometimes when I fill the hopper for the sluice box is just drains out the hopper instead of feeding into the box.

Strange, how does this manifest, like do the items just get dropped on the ground? If the setup works in general and an item drains from the hopper that means the sluice should accept it. The box itself does seem to have one internal slot of "queue" space inside it, so the first stack fully drains immediately into the sluice and keeps filling from the hopper as items get processed.

So, two-part bug/crash report:

Firstly, climbing picks can't be recycled/querned and do not drop bits. Tested with iron, original pick was unquenched.

Secondly, I got a crash when my climbing pick broke while I was looking at it with my cursor (the one that broke was in the item bar).

Could just be caused by me looking at the item while it broke, but might as well post the dump :P :

Hi. Dumb question. My husband and I have been trying to figure out how the welcome mat works. We added everything supposed to be there (bed, chest with food, the mat itself) but after a day, it always says "No place to rest". Am I doing something wrong that I'm not noticing?

Totally ignore this if you don't want to bother with it.

But if your looking for something useful to add …

I have been using the traveling merchant since I started my single player and I have only managed to trade with them 3 or 4 times.

Its so hard to catch them at home.

I could put the rug in my own home.

But one of the cool things about the mod is it gives you something else to build.

Designing a little house or traveling merchant stall for him.

Would it be possible to make it so when he arrives he rings a little bell I provide for him.

Or at least have a chat message pop up.

Heck if you can point me towards a good tutorial ill try to add it myself.
