  1. Nope, you've got it right! I've had them take seven days before. Bees can seriously take their time. Even if the population starts large, the amount of time it takes for them to swarm and move in can vary. You can turn on block information (default key is 'B' I believe) to see an estimated time to swarm. It's also influenced by the number of flowers nearby, so if they seem to be particularly indecisive, you can try adding more.
  2. Yeah, wolves can be a real nuisance, especially in early game. The number you run into in a playthrough seems to vary, though whether that's due to forest biome size and how many are near you or random generation I'm not sure. I've also seen some discussions on whether wolf breeding rates are too high which leads me to think that they may spawn/breed in larger numbers than other creatures which can make it feel like there's millions of them compared to others. The best way to handle them that I've found is to be aggressive. It's completely counter to how I always felt I should handle them, but turns out a few good hits with a copper longblade sends them running -- and boy do they run. I usually make a blade right after a pickax specifically to deal with wolves even if it slows down my tech progress a bit. They'll chase you for-freaking-ever, too, so I find I'd rather take a hit or two and have them run from me than have to abandon whatever I'm doing and flee halfway across the map.
  3. As far a I'm aware this isn't possible, at least not from inside the game. The closest thing I can find is here about changing things in the game files themselves: https://www.vintagestory.at/forums/topic/3849-option-to-change-default-world-gen-settings/ but this looks like it was a couple versions ago, so it may be a bit different. Also it obviously requires manipulating the files which is a hassle and a little scary imo, lol. It would definitely be a very useful feature though!
  4. That's very possible with the drifters -- I'm still getting used to them running around in the daytime, I suppose. Wolves are really what's getting me. I know that real wolves will pursue pray for miles, but I tend to like my digital wolves a little less stubborn. It could be interesting to have a line of sight mechanic that would let you lose them with some maneuvering or maybe a way of distracting them so you can get away.
  5. Maybe it's just been a bit since I played, but has enemy pursuit distance changed since 1.15? I had a wolf chase me through a forest, across a lake, across plains, and into my house the other day. And since enemies can see through doors, once a wolf is outside your house it becomes a very angry roommate. I've also had drifters pursue me so far that I was absolutely positive that they were no longer following only to have them attack from behind when I was most of the way through chopping a tree down. I seem to remember that once upon a time, once they were far enough to be out of sight, you were safe, but maybe I'm making that up... Anyone got some info on how enemies pursue so I can learn how to lose them when I don't feel like fighting?
  6. I was first not able to get a meal out of a crockpot with a bowl (I had previously done so and three servings remained), so I picked up the crockpot to try placing it in a different spot and when I placed it, it turned into a clay form. I was not able to use clay to "continue" the form and when broken it did not drop anything. Before this, I had been in the middle of making a clay item when I ran out of clay, so perhaps there was some confusion related to that. I am playing on Windows 10 and just updated to 1.16.5. The only mods I use are Step Up, Carry Capacity, and Simple HUD Clock.
  7. When creating a new world, play settings cannot be customized when using the maximum GUI scale (16) as the "Back" and "Apply" buttons are cut off. The second picture is the same screen with the GUI scale set to 15, where the buttons are just barely visible. (v1.14.10)
