And what about those worlds created with the default setting before this change? gotta find the game command to change it right? Not exactly a good solution to the fix of a problem that has other solutions.
I noticed that there's an open requisition for an animator. I wonder if that is related to the implemented solution of nerfing mining speed to fix the animation of mining.
Oh, I actually didn't even consider that. Yeah, I'd agree, it's not a good solution at all.

Why are you making the game worse to solve a problem you made? Just fix the problems.
It's just the default setting. You can still change it.

Even if the intent isn't to nerf mining, the effect is still the same - this is a massive nerf to mining. Surely there's a better way to match block breakage with animations without drastically altering mining time for the worse?
Agreed entirely.

Incredible! Thank you!

GPortal doesn't update as frequently. You will have to wait for them to upload the files to the website, which could take some time. When they do though, you should be able to do it. In the future, I would suggest something like BisectHosting. BisectHosting has a control panel AND they have all updates as they become available, and their support is really good.

This is for sure up there as contender for one of the best updates yet! Holy cow! Thank you!

I'm sorry for the confusion earlier, I just realized I was mixing up the names whilst providing the correct mod links, my mad! I was using the original for so long it's stuck in my head! lmao I went back and corrected, so it is easier to understand.
To be clear:
You want the one by NerdScurvy. You should only have one mod for it. This one here (https://mods.vintagestory.at/download?fileid=17049) if you are on the latest version of the game, which the mod file version for is "v1.7.0-pre.3". You should not have both CarryOn and CarryCapacity installed at the same time, just the one that's being updated.

Rhyagelle, Can you give me some more help. I downloaded the link provided and made sure it was in the correct folder and highlighted in the mod menu but I still cannot pick up a chest. Do I also need another CarryOn file that is used in the mod menu. Thanks
You need to have both your off hand and one hotbar slot empty to do it. When both are empty, shift click the chest and a progress circle bar shows up on the center of your screen. Let it fill up and you will pick the chest up. To put it on your back, shift and aim up (not at another block) and click again, and it'll put it on your back. To get it off your back, you will need to empty your off-hand and 1 hotbar again and then shift + click to take it off.
EDIT fixed name

CarryCapacity is continued on through the mod listed here: https://mods.vintagestory.at/carryon
EDIT
Corrected the name to match the link! lmao sorry about that!

I can understand the frustration.
Not only is the constant barage of wolf and bear sounds absolutely aggravating, but the spawn rate for them is absolutely ridiculous, too! I have had packs of 30 wolves appear 7 in game days after eradicating the last. The same with bears, but obviously like 7-10 at a time.
They need to give us volume control for creatures/mobs as well as adjust the damn spawn rate!

It's been around since as long as I can remember, and not just with twigs. Dirt blocks and other items can jump up and down off edges, too. I hope we get it fixed soon though.

If so many worlds got corrupted, you need to look at your machine. There's something on it causing these issues. It isn't the game. Once or twice, I'm sure game-related issues might have caused it for you, but five distinct times? That would have to mean it's a common issue that effects multiple people, but it simply doesn't. I would definitely look at your computer for it is, 99.9%, the root cause of your problems.
Unless you were playing with mods, and didn't care to maintain them. That isn't on the game. That's on you.

I've noticed they like maples a lot. Look for large maple forests on the map, there should be many of them in there. As for finding them, just turn your music down some and keep an ear out. They are very loud, provided you don't have music levels blasted.

As someone who suffers tremendously due to motion sickness, especially in video games, THANK YOU for adding in-game options to change common aggravators of motion sickness.

It very well could be a graphical driver problem. When was the last time you cleared your DirectX cache, or did a fresh, clean install of your GPU's latest driver? Believe it or not, but those two steps can make a huge change in performance.
(although not really the problem from what I've seen, I would also suggest buying more RAM, especially if you run things outside of your games)
-
I'm surprised this actually works. lol
-
You could always just back up your world and if something goes wrong, revert to it.
-
It would be interesting to see, but it would have to be carefully implemented. Too much, and it'd be annoying.

I can see why you want to save it!
If the server is closing, just ask the admin for a copy of the world. I cannot imagine they would say no if the world is being closed. Hopefully they do not. -
Hell yeah, count me in, I'll be there for sure!

So, your ISP gave you a dynamic IP? Or were they just segmenting your IP?

@Rhyagelle, yes yes and yes.
This issue started to occur only on Monday this week, and prior to that ~12 different players played on this server from different parts of the world. Now - nobody is able to connect.
It seems like an ISP issue. You should contact your ISP and make sure they didn't revert settings, changed anything or something.

And you would be very right! I am very prone to motion sickness, and games that mimic sea movement can obviously cause intense problems. I'm not talking feeling a little sick to my stomach, either. When I get motion sickness, I am 100% immobilized. It takes hours to go away. It would be nice if more games considered people with these issues more as they make options in their games.
