  1. We still get the placement sound in creative but yeah. Didnt we say survival mode?
  2. Huh. That's weird, because I don't have Wild Farming installed as a mod. Is it something about mods in general breaking the bone broth?
  3. Interesting point: I saw two "pasta noodle" in the creative inventory, and tested the first one. Retesting using spelt and acorn flour, I find that the pasta which uses the acorn flour cooks, while the pasta using the spelt flour does not. Sorry to hear that you're feeling sick and sluggish. Take care of yourself, and hope you feel better soon.
  4. I accessed the compatibility file for Acorns, and added the “2” to both riceandbeans and simmering recipes, then opened VS with a new world in creative mode. Tested with both saucepan and cauldron. Primary testing with full mod suite on, secondary limited testing with only Acorns and EF active. I tested any recipe that appeared to use the phrase “boil” or “simmer” in the handbook. Results: Recipes That Worked Okay Pilaf All fruit and sap Syrup Any Acorn breaded meat, fish, or veg Salt Raw Soy milk Pasturized milk Pasta Recipes not functioning Bone Broth Pre-Gelatin Gelatin (any) Boiled Egg Any non-acorn breaded meat, fish, or veg frying in lard Full mod suite includes: Acorns 0.5.0 Animal Cages 2.0.3 Better Crates 1.3.4-rc-2 Expanded Foods 1.5.1 Extra Chests 1.4.0-rc.2 Primitive Survival2.7.3 Spyglass 0.4.0 TradeOMat 1.15.10 Wildcraft 1.0.3 Bullseye 2.2.2 Carry Capacity 0.6.3 Farmland Drops Soil 1.4.0 From Golden Combs 1.3.5-rc6 HUD Clock 2.5.0 Medieval Expansion 3.6.1 Workbench expansion 1.3.2 Anvil Metal Recovery+ 0.1.15 Bricklayers 0.6.0 I rifled through the rest of the EF file, but was unable to find the other simmering recipes to see if adding the "2" could work on them. Let me know if there's any further testing I can assist with. I was unable to find any problems with primitive survival's fish with that mod suite.
  5. What I meant was, it seems like Acorns is the mod that's breaking the other simmering recipes as well. Not sure why, but all my testing keeps bringing me back to Acorns as the culprit. But yeah, I'll give it a shot. Should I pm you with the results on VS discord, or report them here?
  6. Seems to work. Thanks for that. Once I turned off the acorns mod, everything else seemed to work pretty well. It's unfortunate not having that mod, but oh, well.
  7. Aaand, turned on acorns and primitive survival, and it's broken again.
  8. Okay, this is starting to look like a problem with another mod. Turned off everything except EF, now it's working. I'll start turning stuff back on, and see if I can figure out which mod it is. As of five minutes later: okay, interesting. When I reload my world, I can make bone broth and salt, but it won't tell me that it's making it. It cooks, I just won't see the recipe on the dialogue box. Same thing with juice to syrup. So I have to know it's going to work, it won't say it's going to work. Pilaf is also working again.
  9. acorns and primitive survival are the ones directly related to foods. Full List: Anvil metal recovery. workbench expansion, medieval expansion, hud clock, farmland drops soil, carry capacity, bullseye, tradeomat, spyglass, primitive survival, acorns, extra chests, better crates, animal cages. I can create a whole new world and retest with just expanded foods Gelatin is also down for me. Not sure what other recipes to try that might be affected.
  10. Yeah, tried rice and bean in the first two slots, then rice and chopped carrot. No joy either time. Rice in the first two slots makes porridge. I figured if it was a mixing bowl recipe, the handbook would mention that.
  11. DrOldman, you said the broth is working for you?
  12. Confirming, I can't do bone broth either. (1.5.1) So far, with testing, neither bone broth nor pilaf are working. Maple and birch syrup, as well as at least red currant and black currant, are working. So is boiling water to salt and lard.
  13. This time, I was able to get a crash by adding raw pasta as well, but chopped carrot, flour, and egg were fine. Crash was near-immediate upon adding the offending item. Without Bricklayers installed, I was able to place liquid in the mixing bowl and leave it there for a couple of minutes. Crash report below, let me know if there's any other way I can help. 14. Hey l33tmaan, I just had some crashes with Expanded Foods, specifically with the mixing bowl. Through the usual "test each mod until you find the problem", I think the issue is with the mod "Bricklayers" which I had to install to be on the Aura Fury server. When that mod is turned off, I can place several water or milk portions into the mixing bowl with no issue. When I turn that mod on, with or without the rest of my mod list turned on, CTD the instant I try to put any liquid into the bowl. I'm continuing with some testing and I'll get a crash log on the next test. Thought that might be germane to the current conversation.
  15. Chisel worked. No idea why it didn't work in my test world, but oh well. Thanks Langstone
  16. Copper, right now. I haven't managed to work my way up to bronze yet. Modlist for me: - Acorns - Anvil Metal Recovery - better crates - Bullseye - Carry capacity - Extra Chests - Farmland Drops Soil - Medieval Expansion - Primitive survival -Spyglass - Expanded Foods - Extra Chests - Workbench expansion Checking with everything except metal recovery turned off in the mod manager, I seem to have the same issues. I've tried hammer, chisel, and saw in various configurations with no effect.
  17. I'm also having the problem with the metal fragments. Glad I'm not the only one who can't figure it out. Seriously, though, it says it can smelt, but I can't even put the fragments into the crucible. Running mod version 0.1.15 on VS 1.15 with several mods installed. The other people having the issue: do you have other mods installed? Hammer was the first thing I tried.
  18. I'm torn between "homesteading" and "lovecraftian", but i'm going to go with homesteading.
  19. I'd be interested in joining in if it happens, but I don't have any money to make it happen either.
  20. I'll preface my question by saying that I'm completely new to modding, in that I'm still learning the basics of what code is and how it works. I can do really simple things, but for the most part, I don't know what's possible, or even what I don't know. That being said. In nature, most wild animals don't like it when you get too close to them, or surprise them, and especially with big animals, sometimes they flee, and sometimes they try to turn you into a thin red paste. So, looking at behaviors (while nerfing the heck out of wolves), and I'm seeing emotion states. My question is, would it be possible to make an emotion state for something like "too-d***-close", where there's a reasonable chance it triggers a "flee-entity", and a small chance that it triggers a melee attack? I think that would be two separate interactions, but I'm less clear on how the chances would play out.
