I have experienced a bug where if you select "Immersive First Person", spears are completely unusable when using melee. It may be an issue with the camera moving away from the target as the character (and the camera) move to complete the "lunging" animation. Either way, the only fix I've been able to find is to just not use the immersive mode, which is just not as fun, or aim a bit to the right of the target, which is harder to do in a pinch. I hope this issue has not been resolved before because this report would be a waste of time, and I hope the explanation has been detailed enough for people to understand.
