  1. ! I don't suggest this for anyone on a monitor refresh rate below 120 Hz due to the latency. ! In my testing, using 60 Hz refresh rate was unsatisfactory and barely playable. Going to 120 Hz was a better experience overall. In order to get Frame Generation on Vs, you'll have to buy a software on steam called Lossless scaling (it's pretty cheap so don't worry). The software was originally made for upscaling programs and games using popular upscaling tech like FSR 1.0, NSI ( Nvidia ), but recently the developers have added their own frame generation tech that works completely off of the driver. And as a reminder, this tech only released a few days ago, it's full of flaws but with time it'll get better. Lossless scaling setup: Make sure you have LSFG selected for Frame generation, clip cursor on. If you wish to see your new frame rate, scroll down and select "Draw FPS", other fps capturing software won't detect the generated frames due to the frame generator being driver-based. Upscaling is currently very wacky to do on VS cause the game doesn't let you select specific window sizes. Game settings setup: - fullscreen OFF - select the necessary settings which will result in your native frame rate being half of your monitor refresh rate (e.g.: 60 Hz monitor = 30+ native fps, any lower and the latency will be noticeable) Turning on the Frame Gen: Open Lossless Scaling, go to settings and set up a keybind for Scaling, after that open VS and just click the hotkey, game should change to "fullscreen" and you'll see the framerate being displayed on the top left (it's a white font, might be hard to see) Video Examples: Frame Gen OFF: noFGEdit.mp4 Frame Gen ON: FgEdit.mp4 My PC Specifications(for those interested): i7-11800H (capped at 3.3 gHz) RTX 3050 Laptop (undervolted) 32 Gb of ram ddr4 3200 SSD
  2. Hello Folks, I am getting some pretty serious frame time spikes while moving. I have messed around with some settings but nothing seems to improve it much. I have attached my DXDiag. Please see my game settings here. Version v1.15.7 And here are the perf stats from MSI Afterburner and RTSS(Frame time is in the top right). DxDiag.txt
  3. I play on version 1.15.7 with a variaty of mods installed. This bug comes up regardless of version, mod setup and operating system, it just depends on block gravity system turned on. Whenever a huge landslide occurs, my fps drops below 10 for ceveral minutes, till I type in the command: /entity remove fallingBlock or so. That happened more than once. My suggestion would be, to check for such events and automatically delete every falling block above a configurable amount of entitys. A simple integer in the server config should do the trick. The lag occurs not because of the landdrift itself, but because of the countless blocks, that accumulate on the ground, bouncing into each other in small corners, that never settle down. I guess, noone will miss a few soil blocks.
  4. I have an i5 3470 vPro and a GTX 1050 TI. Can I run Vintage Story? I run Minecraft on hypixel with badlion client at about 140 fps
  5. The game is pausing for about half a second at 2-3 second intervals, regardless of video quality settings. Tried stable and unstable version on 2 different ssd drives. vintage vid.mp4
