  2. An Apiculture Mod By Aetherial Labs Author: Vinter_Nacht, Texture Artist: AnxietyPealope JSON Files Assist: Raccoon <To Mod DB> Support Us Through Patreon! MOST HIVE COMPONENTS (BROOD BOX, SUPERS, BASES, CERAMIC HIVE BASES) MUST BE CARRIED IN A BAG SLOT. THEY WILL NOT GO INTO AN INVENTORY SLOT. From Golden Combs began as a simple project with the intent to learn how to code in C#, and to add a simple new type of hive to the world of Vintage Story. The first item introduced was a ceramic hive (then called the Claypot Hive) that didn't have to be destroyed to harvest its bounty. Having achieved that small goal, I set out to do something more ambitious. 1.3.4 saw the introduction of the Langstroth Hive. This hive has individual boxes known as superstructures (or supers, for short) and frames on which the bees build wax and store honey. Current Features (As of 1.3.4): - Clay forming recipes for honey pot and brood pot. - Ability to place colonies in the brood pot using a populated skep. - Repeatable harvest by emptying the honey pot with a knife, and returning it to the brood pot. - Movable brood pots, both with and without a bee colony - Langstroth Hives - Multi-box hives with high capacity (and improved output), available in millions* of color combinations! - Hive Components in 169 possible color combinations - Langstroth Superstructures (Known as Supers) -The base component of your hive - Langstroth Brood Boxes - Where your bees live! - Langstroth Bases - To keep your hive off the ground. - Frames for your bees in 16 possible color combinations - Frame Racks - Used for lining, harvesting, and repairing your bee frames * - Yes, millions. You can stack your individual hive parts in any order you want. To be a hive it must have a populated brood box at the top (Right click an empty brood box with a populated skep) a base at the bottom, and up to 4 supers stacked in between. Each individual part is available in up to 169 different color combinations, so the possible combinations are nearly endless! - Configuration Options - Duration for a hive to fill configurable by hive type. (skep, ceramic, and langstroth) - Change the height to which a hive can be stacked (default is 6 individual items. So up to two blocks high) - Change maximum and minimum yield when harvesting a frame - Change the durability of frames - Optionally display time until the hive produces more comb Coming Soon (?) - New Utility/Vanity Items - Honey Jar - New Bee Products - Propolis - Bee Bread - Pollen - Royal Jelly - New Hives - Layens Hives - Warre Hives - New color variants of Ceramic and Langstroth Hives - Bee species - Range of Temperature tolerances - Flower preferences - Attitudes (some are more defensive of their hive than others, even in domestic hives) - Different rates of production for honey/wax - Advanced hive maintenance - Hive temperature - Humidity - Population - Disease - Hive collapse - Swarming Mechanics - Pests (Wax moths, Hive Beetles, and Varroa Mites! Oh My!) - More Predators (Mice? Skunks? More?) - Version 1.16.4-1.3.8 -Bugs - - Hives don't seem to properly balance hive-size vs available flowers/nearby skeps. Always show as large with any amount of flowers. - Brood Boxes can be made with supers that contain frames, causing the loss of those frames. This is repaired in the yet-to-be-released 1.16.4-1.3.9
  3. The weaponpack mods are a series of individual mods focusing on their own individual section of combat- melee, ranged, defense. The mods attempt to overhaul and/or improve existing mechanics in the game without straying too far from the vanilla style by offering modded weapons that are slightly better than their vanilla counterparts, this keeps vanilla things untouched most of the time and lets me have a lot more freedom with what I can do with the additions. 4. Hey everyone Welcome to my first mod. I made this for a friend and myself as we loved Sphax in minecraft and I decided to bring this over to Vintage Story Description This is based off the Texture Pack called "Pure BDcraft" for minecraft. This texture pack aims to give the game a comic book feel and give you a unique experience while playing. Not only does this change the textures but it also changes a lot of the shapes in the game. This was done to match certain aspects of the items to their Minecraft counterparts such as doors for example. This is a massive project and thus still has quite a bit of work still to do. I work on it during my free time which varies from week to week but it is a personal project id like to see to completion. Setup This is a 128 by 128 texture pack as a pose to the vanilla scale being 32 by 32 thus this pack takes quite a bit of resources To overcome various crashes, please update the following lines in your config file. Feel free to play around with these values but note that the smaller they are, the more likely the game will crash with this texture pack Known Issues These are some bugs that I have come across while using my pack 1) Due to the pack being 128x128, if you play with mods that use 32x32, the game will crash with a warning about not setting the textures to the correct 128x128. to overcome this, I have found that if you modify a mods "modinfo.json" as follows, this resolves the issue 2) When joining a server, I noticed that since 1.15, the fence shape no longer dictates the textures. So in order for your client to display fences properly with this texture pack, download the server fix that I have included here and add it to the servers mod folder. This is a tiny mod that just adds the fence and gate shape files. This may be resolve in the future 3) Unloaded chunks on servers. So I noticed on my personal server if i loaded the texture pack, there were specific chunks that would be invisible. I am unsure what caused this and the chunks were always the same ones. They had nothing special on them. This has not to my knowledge effected single player and I have only come across it once with my existing server. When i started the server anew, this issue was gone. Removing the texture pack resolved the issue 4) Redwood trees trunk texture is not done. I removed it as it was bugged. The side textures were not aligned correctly and the shape file, although set to use the full image, were thrown off. The bug has been reported so hopefully it will be resolved in the future. Once this is fixed, I will add that texture back Things still to do 1) Continue replacing the vanilla textures for some blocks and items 2) Do textures for entities such as all the animals and the player 3) Alter some existing textures that I have already done 4) Continue to change some of the shapes to match the textures Downloads 1.15.+ - PureBDCraft 0.0.1 1.15.+ - PureBDCraft 0.0.1 - Server patch Screenshots Credits Credits go to BDcraft and their amazing texture pack for minecraft. Please go to Pure BDcraft and support them and their hard work Credits to the modding community over there too who help spread support for the Texture Pack to all the minecraft mods which gave me all the variety of textures to use for this pack And lastly, Credit to the Vintage Story creators who brought us this amazing game.
  5. Adds Acorns as a food source. Also adds a Wooden Mallet which is needed to crack the Acorn shells. Acorns (Oak seeds) drop from Oak tree leaves and are highly nutritious. Acorn flour is gluten-free. It must be mixed with another flour and water to make bread dough. It gives a 50% nutrition boost to bread. Acorns can also be fed to pigs. "There is no food that means more to me than the acorn, for the acorn fulfills both a promise and a fantasy: that the forest will provide for me. When I gaze across the [valley] I see more than scenery. I see thousands of acres of bounty, millions of pounds of delicious food dropped from the crowns of countless trees, waiting to be gathered by eager hands. I see more food than I could ever eat—more than I can even fathom. A wilderness and an orchard in one." ...from "Nature’s Garden: A Guide to Identifying, Harvesting, and Preparing Edible Wild Plants" by Samuel Thayer. At some point I'll add Acorn Griddle Cakes, too. These can be made without adding another flour. Changelog Download For VS 1.15 Acorns v0.4.0 for VS 1.15.zip For VS 1.14 and earlier Acorns v0.3.2.zip Previous Versions
  6. These mods are designed to tweak armor to fit better into the game, some brief examples of each are: Class Based Armors- gives each armor type a buff to a specific statistic, like chainmail armor increasing bow shooting speed, or gambeson making you move faster and use less hunger. Armor Stat Rebalance- Decreases the negatives from wearing armor, for example plate armor used to slow you down by 42% but now it only slows you by 24%. More Armor Durability- Increases armor durability by about 2x-3x. Armor Crafting Rebalance- Makes armor recipes make more sense, not designed to make armor cheaper, but makes the crafting of it to be less grindy. More armor durability is an addon for classbasedarmors/armorstatrebalance, but it can be downloaded and used separately from these mods, you have to use the combination zips of these mods to use both at once. Heres my patreon if you'd like to support me: Patreon Class Based Armors: Armor Stat Rebalance: Armor Crafting Rebalance: More Armor Durability Examples: ONLY ONE STAT TWEAKING MOD WILL WORK WHEN ENABLED, ONLY ENABLE ONE ZIP OF "CLASS ARMORS" OR "STAT REBALANCE", EACH MOD ALSO HAS A VERSION WITH THE INCREASED DURABILITY MOD, THE INCREASED DURABILITY MOD WILL NOT WORK ALONGSIDE "CLASS ARMORS" OR "STAT REBALANCE" UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD THE VERSION WHICH INCLUDES IT. CRAFTING REBALANCE IS INDEPENDENT OF THESE MODS SO IT WILL WORK WITH ANY OF THEM AND CAN BE ENABLED REGARDLESS OF WHAT MOD YOUR USING. DOWNLOADS: All mods work in 1.13, and 1.14. 7. https://mods.vintagestory.at/automapmarkers Automatically adds map markers to your map when you interact with certain objects. Fully configurable to add only the map markers you are interested in. Current options include: Add map markers when you harvest resin, berries, or mushrooms. Add map markers when you collect loose surface ores. Add map markers when you interact with traders. Add other custom map markers of your choice. Makes it easier to remember locations and return to those locations later, and eliminates the tedium of manually opening the map and creating map markers. Can also help to ensure you don't miss out on gold or silver surface ore, which are sometimes difficult to spot! The mod is disabled by default when first installed. To enable the mod, open the configuration menu (Ctrl+Shift+M by default, adjustable keybind), and click the Enable button. You can also configure all of your preferences from this menu, including the icons, colors, and names that should be used for each type of automatically created map marker. The latest version of the mod now works both in singleplayer mode and on multiplayer servers. Check out the file changelog for more details! This is my first mod, friends. I hope you like it. 8. Farmland Drops Soil changes the behavior of farmland to drop soil when broken, depending on the nutrients available. This is for those people that got frustrated by losing their precious Terra Preta when wanting to move their farms to a better, fancier place or even their entire base. Well, you can't! Except with the amazing Farmland Drops Soil mod. When you break a farmland block, it will have a chance to drop their respective soil block, depending on the nutrients available. If you wait for the nutrients to fully recover, you always get your soil back. Otherwise, it will pick the lowest nutrient, and adjust the drop chance based on it. For example, a Terra Preta farmland with N=80, P=60, K=40 has a 50% chance to drop the soil block (40 / 80 = 0.5). [ VSModDB ] [ GitHub Releases ] Source code is available on GitHub as well.

  11. A mod that adds new fuels. I originally created this mod to be able to reclaim my iron-shavings from the MetalRecovery mod. Also includes fire logs and peat processing. Now you can stack fire logs, and both refined peat bricks into piles. Firelogs and the handbook aren't playing nice, firelog now has a description that includes crafting cost, the item should be hidden by the handbook now. 12. Adds a new tool to the game, the spyglass. Some metal smithing, and glass smelting you can have your very own spyglass, then go exploring the wilds, or spy on your neighbors from the safety of your windmill. As of v0.3.0 - You can now use the mouse wheel to adjust your zoom some while your are using the spyglass. As of v0.3.1 - Config Options Also for the record, you shouldn't smack things with your spyglass, you might cause it damage! On the Mod DB at https://mods.vintagestory.at/spyglass Or on GitHub at https://github.com/fuami/Spyglass
  13. Adds new explosives to the game, currently adds- the blasting barrel, rock blasting bomb, and the shrapnel bomb. Also adds the alternate blasting powder recipes merged from my craftables mod, now the amount of blasting powder you get is determined by the quality of "coal/charcoal" you use. So using anthracite will give you much more powder per recipe than just using charcoal. Also adds the ability for you to use rot in place of sulfur for a reduced powder output. Heres my patreon if you'd like to support me: Patreon Bombs: The shrapnel bomb is a niche use damaging explosive with the same damage radius as the blasting barrel, it deals 30 damage point blank and about 15 damage to things at least 5 ish blocks near the detonation site then falls off from there. It deals damage based on line of sight so cover is very effective. The rock blasting bomb is the inverse to the ore blasting bomb, meaning it breaks rock rather effectively, breaks soil and wood less so and cannot destroy ores. It has the same explosion radius as the ore blasting bomb. The blasting barrel is a huge explosive designed to carve out massive chunks of rock, its similar in every way to the rock blasting bomb in that it cannot break ores, but it has a power of about 5x comparatively. Rock blasting bomb compared to the blasting barrel by crater size: Download on the mod DB: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/1035?saved=1#tab-files
  14. This is just a very simple mod that doubles the step height of players (from 0.6 to 1.2) so they can walk up blocks without having to jump. Built for 1.14 but might be compatible with other versions. (As long as the existing order of behaviors isn't changed.) Download StepUp-v1.2.0.cs [ VSModDB ] To install the mod, simply place the .cs file into your Mods folder. You can get there by going to the Mod Manager in the main menu and clicking Open Mods Folder. Changelog v1.2.0 - Now actually works just on client (and comes as a single .cs file!) v1.1.0 - Now works if just installed on the client (not required on server) v1.0.0 - Initial release
  15. YABBA - Glass Chapter AKA - "That Glass Chiseling Mod" https://mods.vintagestory.at/yabbaglasschapter Originally YABBA was going to be Yet Another Building Block Addition to add all sorts of blocks. Well, of course the first thing I added in back in April of 2021 was the ability for people to Chisel Glass, because it was the thing that was the most requested in our servers. TechRabbit, LocoMiner, TheGingerHasASoul, and others all came to know YABBA as "That Glass Chiseling Mod". Just like we now call GIF Gif because the people want to call it that (Though I am stubborn and pronounce it the same as the Peanut butter), The Current Chapter of YABBA, as it is, shall be known as "That Glass Chiseling Mod". How this update came to be Basically: After talking with others, and sharing the roadmap for where I wanted to go with this, I was told that it didn't fit the feel of YABBA in it's current form. Glass Chiseling was a functionality to blocks, not adding blocks itself; as such it would be better to break apart YABBA into Chapters to keep the overhead down. So there are still other Chapters of YABBA in the works, but they are going to be split up from YABBA - Glass Chapter; Giving players the ability to customize what they want in their worlds/servers SCOPE: Lightweight Block and Chiseling Mod for Glass COMPATIBILITY: 1.14.8+ (Currently tested on 1.15.5) I am creating the forum update only now because as much as I like the ModDB, the forum interface really provides the best way for feedback and improvements on mods still. So: That being said... have ideas, suggestions for improvements... or something else that you think fits the feel of YABBA (We are thinking YABBA will affect more the Functionality of blocks), let me know! SIMILAR MODS BY OTHER AUTHORS: AUGUST 2021 - Tels has also started working on Glassworks over at https://mods.vintagestory.at/glassworks that has some promising features and blocks that are going to be different than what I will have. Be sure to check out his work as well.
  16. ================================================================== A simple mod that adds the ability to make flint chisels. Flint chisels are significantly crappier than the metal versions, at only a third of the duration of copper chisels, but you can make 3 at a time with the flint knapping recipe. Our IRL ancestors made flint chisels, so I figured this would be a nice addition. ================================================================== DOWNLOAD Flint Chisel v1.0.0.zip
  17. Item Lights Candle, why won’t you light my path at night? You glow with fire and yet I stumble around in the darkness… Item Lights is a mod that aims to address an odd inconsistency in Vintage Story. Unlike blocks, items cannot emit light when held in hand or tossed on the ground. This means that a lit candle won’t light up the area, while a torch will. This mod gives items the same illumination capabilities as blocks have. Candles, Temporal Gears, and the creative Wand are now light sources with Item Lights. For Modders Your mods can take advantage of this system too if installed alongside Item Lights! You only need to give your item or block an attribute like this: "itemlight": [0, 0, 6] Any byte array value that matches this graphic should work(hover to see values): http://tyron.at/vs/vslightwheel.html Download Mod Download the latest version of Item Lights for Vintage Story 1.16.0+: Version 1.0.2 To download previous versions of the mod or to view change logs please visit: Item Lights ModDB Page Source code can be viewed here: Item Lights GitHub My Other Mods Ancient Tools: A collection of useful tools from ancient times. 18. Mod DB Post Fences won't be enough anymore. - My take on trying to rebalance temporal storms a bit. Adding a few change to drifters - During temporal storms, drifters will being to teleport erratically - Removed the ability for drifters to spawn too close to you* TeleportExample.mp4 and as an added bonus, drifters won't teleport into solid blocks. The mod has some freedom to configure it as you see fit The variables that can be changed in the patch .json - Mod is only required on the server. See the Mod DB Post for downloads. Change Log
  19. https://mods.vintagestory.at/moremolds (Figured More Molds Needed a Forum Home) BANG BANG BANG... BANG BANG BANG... Picturing the Grinch at Christmas time for all that Noise Noise Noise got me thinking... "Ya Know? They might not be QUITE as efficient as smithed items, but really... even a rough plate is still a plate. Even if we have to work on it later to make it more efficient!" That led to making molds of some of the more tedious items that seem like they really could have a mold. Metal Plates Metal Sheets (Currently was no recipe before... Not sure where you find them) Metal Knife Copper Chute Section Metal Chisel You will note as well... Copper Chute Mold REQUIRES fire clay, but makes 4 at once. Yah, yah, yah... You can argue that a poured knife isn't gonna be as sharp as a smithed knife, of a poured chisel as efficient as a smithed chisel... but ya know... they are both a voxel tall... and this world is run by voxels. So I pour my tiny voxel based knife, and then display it proudly on my poured voxel based Bismuth Sheet. This mod is definitely a WIP so please leave suggestions. This is my first mod working with models. SIMILAR MODS - Be Sure to Check Out and Share The Love! 22. A mod that literally gives you more dry grass. Have you ever swung your new fancy scythe and gaped on in abject horror as four pieces of grass dropped from the giant forest like grassland you just carved a path through? Yes? Then you might like this, it increases dry grass drops based on the length of grass ( by chance ) Its based on the size of the grass you cut, and by default it only applies to scythes. These are manageable in the config see the Mod DB Page for info on that. By Default short grass is 10% for extra, Medium Short is 25%, Medium is 50%, Tall is 100%, and Very Tall has 25% chance to give THREE WHOLE DRY GRASS! Exciting I know. Not much else to say, hopefully it works well and people will enjoy seeing the dry grass rain down around them in a glorious shower of... dry... grass. On the Mod DB at https://mods.vintagestory.at/moredrygrass Or on GitHub at https://github.com/fuami/MoreDryGrass - My first attempt to modding VS, hopefully things work well
  23. Golden Age Overhaul is a mod meant to completely change progression and evoke the feel of Minecraft Beta - when Minecraft was more about building than adventuring. It is separated into multiple packages, with as many as possible capable of standing on their own. There aren't enough packages to consider it a full overhaul yet, but features will be released as they are completed. The packages can be found on the mod database: Stone Pickaxes: Adds simple stone pickaxes. They can mine anything copper can, allowing you to skip collecting ore stones off the surface. Made through knapping. At some point, I might adjust it so that copper and stone are Tier 1, requiring you to make a copper pickaxe, but that's low on my priority list. Cobble Drop: Make raw rock drop cobblestone when mined instead of stones. You can smash it with a hammer in the crafting grid to get stones, if you need them. Bonus cosmetic mod I've made: Debark Fix: Wood grain runs along the length of a log, no matter which direction it is oriented. Formerly known as MCB Overhaul.
  24. This mod is inspired by the recently released Minecraft mod of the same name by my friend LemmaEOF. It removes 85% of chunks from generating altogether, providing a completely different play experience for those looking for something new - perhaps a little challenge to freshen things up? As there are no balance changes made to the game such as dungeon or ore spawn rates or even a guarantee that you spawn on a bit of land that would give you blocks to get to nearby chunks, some world customization is recommended. [ VSModDB ] [ GitHub Releases ] Source code is available on GitHub as well.
