BackpackPack is a mod intended to be a successor to "QOL Tweaks BetterBackpacks", it is designed to fill in gaps in the backpack progression and even drastically increase the base games backpack capacity with the plus version. It replaces all of vanillas backpack recipes with improved versions and adds some early and late game backpack progression. This mod has two versions- the "BackpackPack" and the "BackpackPackPlus"; The normal version keeps the storage capacity of vanilla backpacks and keeps the newly added backpacks in line with those numbers. The second, or "Plus" version uses numbers similar to the original "QOL Tweaks Betterbackpacks" mod meaning backpacks give you much more storage that is about double of the base games numbers. Use the normal version if you like vanilla storage numbers, and use plus if you like huge inventory sizes. Backpack Progression: (Quantity slot amounts are shown as PLUS version, N/A to standard version) Storage Numbers: Mod is usable on existing worlds, however backpacks existing before the mod was installed and across the two versions will need to be replaced (by re-crafting or spawning them in) to have their storage numbers be updated. The two versions are exclusive to each other, as they have different mod id's so if you load a world that had the standard version with the plus version the other versions items will simply cease to function, but the currently loaded version will work fine, you may want to refund the cost of the items though if you make the switch intentionally. You wont loose the items from mistakenly loading the wrong mod though, just load back up the version you had when you made the items and they will function as normal. Character backpack graphics (as in being shown on the back) seems to be buggy for some reason, if you want your backpack to show on your back you will have to re-log otherwise nothing will show up on your back, seems to be some issue with the base game.   2. Update 2-2-22: New version 1.5.2 for VS 1.16.0+ This mod adds larger storage capacity chests to the game. The recipes are simply adding a plate of the metal tier to the previous tier chest in the player crafting grid. For example: the Copper Chest takes a Wooden Chest + Copper Plate. Bronze Chest takes Copper Chest + any bronze plate. Iron Chest takes any Bronze Chest + Iron Plate. Steel chest takes an Iron Chest + steel plate. I feel the recipes are fair enough. Every chest can be made into the "Labeled" version by adding a sign to it just like the wooden chest. Labeled chests can be upgraded to the next tier as well. These chests are based on the vanilla wooden chest so they behave and interact the same. They can be reinforced and are lockable. Notes: This mod is required for both client and server. Language files for English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese are included. Thanks to those that have contributed! Compatible with Carry Capacity mod. Default configuration allows hand carrying only. I hope people will enjoy using this mod. It was a fun learning experience for me.   3. Its probably me beeing used to drawers in moded minecraft but i think crates should have simillar interaction logic as them. That said : right click = insert 1 item right click + shift = insert stack (currently held) fast double right click = insert all items from your inventory (of the same type for example all sticks) left click = take out 1 item left click + shift = take out stack (or all thats left if there is less than stack inside) and since in VS block breaking progress doesnt disapear instantly after you stop mining something crates should check if you are actually breaking them or just clicking. To be honest its the double right click part that i miss the most but figured i could as well list it all here.
  4. Hey guys, I just started modding and encountered my first frustrating problem. I'm trying to make a pouche for plants and seeds, but the storage flags seem not to work as intended. I tried to use the following code: The correct storageFlags for agricultural pruposes should be 32, according to https://github.com/anegostudios/vsapi/blob/master/Common/Collectible/Item/EnumItemStorageFlags.cs Do I miss something obvious, or does this flag simply don't work? While testing, I can't place any item in any slot of the pouche, till I change the value to 1, 2 or 4, whereas on 4 the pouche takes only metal, rocks and mining tools. That's not what a herbpouche should do, aye? In case the flag just not works properly, can someone explain how to set up a custom one? Edit: Oh, let me make an educated guess... Noone ever used this flag in their item types, not even Tyron? Will I have to patch every item, that I want to go into that pouche? Please tell me, I'm missing something!
  5. Adds two new food preserving blocks for long term food storage. They require no maintenance and will always work at their full potential and will only be affected by regional food spoilage rates, great for dedicated servers. The two new containers are: Ice Box- Preserves food at the following rates: Vegetables-50% slower decay Grains-75% slower decay Fruits-75% slower decay Proteins-50% slower decay Dairy-75% slower decay Salt Box- Preserves food at the following rates: Vegetables-75% slower decay Grains-50% slower decay Fruits-50% slower decay Proteins-75% slower decay Dairy-50% slower decay Each box has 8 slots, the same as the basket. The best food storage in vanilla being the clay storage vessel, only has a reduced rate of 75% vegetables, and 50% for grains The decay values can be improved further by putting the blocks in a cellar, food items with no category currently decay at their standard rate.   6. I would love to see stone age get extended in game and thats what i sometimes mention or aim at in my sugestions/comments . In preparation for that i think it would be nice to have a clay vessel with same storage space as chest and easier to make than the already existing one (no cover and bigger hole at the top) but poor food storage modifier.
  7. Updated 1-22-22: New version 1.4.1 compatible with Vintage Story 1.16.1 ONLY. This mod introduces a new storage block with a new mechanic for Vintage Story. These "Better Crates" can only store one type of item but they store much more of it than a wooden chest. Features: No GUI element but instead shows the item model with quantity on the label. Interact by left clicking to take items out and right clicking to insert items. They can only be broken with an axe. Upgradable to the next tier by using an upgrade item on them, no need to put into crafting window to upgrade. Fully multiplayer compatible. Including claim protected, reinforcement and locking mechanic. Compatible with hoppers and chutes. Bottom side is the output. All other sides can be inserted into. Rotates when placed. Can also be placed into the floor to face up or ceiling to face down. Detailed Handbook information with links to each new block/item. Just search for "Better Crate". Reactive block interaction overlay information. Compatible with Carry Capacity mod. Highly recommended! Note: Crates can only be carried by hand. Known Issues: While nearly all blocks/items display correctly, some blocks that have overlays such as soil with grass will display without the grass. This only applies to creative mode as you can't have those blocks in survival. There is always the possibility with mods and newer game versions that new blocks/items may not display correctly. Chiseled blocks do not display properly. Fixed with version 1.0.1 Very rarely when broken the label quantity text will not get destroyed. This seems to only happen in creative mode. This will fix if you restart the game. Anvil work items in 1.14+ will not display properly. I feel this is a rare case usage and have not devoted time to fixing the issue for now. v1.3.0: Russian Language file not updated for steel crate/upgrade. Notes: As of version 1.4.1 the display range of models and info of the labels can now be configured. Default is 50 block range. The "BetterCratesConfig.json" file will be in your VintagestoryData\ModConfig folder after loading into a world with the mod one time.   8. Vintage Storage B'aux Enboxes [1.1] This mod works on some issues the early game Vintage Story currently has, and adds in a few bags to help out both the old players, and the new players.   9. The problem: I do not like the way stacked chests (in the world, not your inventory) look. But it is obvious that we need a mass storing system, so why not make it look good. The solution: Make either hand baskets or reed baskets placeable in shelves! Either two reed baskets or four hand baskets per shelf block. Chests could be used for the bottom layer of your storage room and the walls are full of shelves with baskets. Bonus: Reed will still be useful for end game content (apart from bees, that is)
  10. It would be nice and confortable to stock the peat bricks on a surface like it's done with firewood. What do you think about it?
  11. Not enough reeds to make a Basket? Chopped down one too many Giant Oak Trees? Or just the usual Quarry overflow... Use clay to make a STORAGE BIN. It stores, stuff. The form does need lots of clay to create it... Release Notes (v 0.1.0): Took longer than expected, due to odd way VS had generic containers defined, also my modelling skills arn't stellar.
