  4. Vintage Server Launcher What is Vintage Server Launcher? Im glad you asked. Vintage Server Launcher is a launcher that lets server owners easily setup a way to download/update server mod packs and join their servers with nearly no effort on the users side. All mods are kept inside the launcher and don't require the user to add any mods to their client at all eliminating the confusion of modding your game to play on modded servers. This launcher also has a PlayerMods folder for those client only mods that you don't want to have removed between server pack updates. Without further ado lets get into how everything works and how you the server owner can configure your launcher for your very own server. How does the launcher work exactly? Once you launch the launcher it pulls all the info from a permanent json file that you specify in the launcher settings. In this file you will be able to tell players what version the mod pack is and what game version they require to join the server. Once the player clicks Download/Update button the launcher will do the following in order. Delete the contents of the Mods folder. Download the zip file you provided in your json link. Extract the zip file with all the mods into the Mods folder. Delete the zip file to save some space. Will update the packs version number so you know what version you currently have. How do I set this launcher up for my users? Find a place to host a text file that you can edit using the current json example i have setup. I personally prefer pastebin since its free and easy to use. I highly recommend making a free account so you can just edit the file as you update your mod pack making it so users only have to download the launcher you provide once. Example: https://pastebin.com/raw/EJEJKjmV You will have to use a raw link from pastebin or a direct link if you are not using pastebin or it wont work. Download the Launcher and run it. Go to the settings tab on the launcher and paste the URL to your json file in the "Server Info URL" then click save. Zip everything back up or create an installer or any way you see fit to distribute the launcher to your users. Make sure when you zip up your mods its inside a folder called Mods. Screenshots: Note: Before anyone asks no im not using Windows XP. Its a Stardock Curtains theme. Download: Vintage Server Launcher 1.0.zip I hope you all enjoy and if anyone likes this or ends up using this launcher or has any issues please let me know down below or on the Vintage Story Discord.
  5. For those who are tired of driving hens or sheep for thousands of blocks Cage case can be crafted on an anvil using all tool materials, to turn it into an empty cage, add resin. By default, it captures with a 10 to 25% chance. If you hit and could not capture, then the cage will be doungrade to case, or it will break with a 50-5% chance. The chance depends on the material and is written in the cage tooltip. You can increase the cage capture chance in two ways: Decrease the health of the mob. This will give +1% chance for every -2% of the mob's health (50% efficiency). Use bait. By default, these types of baits are available in the mod, but you can change, add (or patch with your mod) in config/baits.json, the rest of the cages settings are in the itemtypes/cage.json attributes. The first and second methods can be used together. Default baits: All chicken: any grain, capture chance: 100% All rabbits: carrot, capture chance: 100% All pigs: turnip, capture chance: 50% All sheep: cabbage, capture chance: 50% All foxes: raw poultry, capture chance: 25% All wolf: raw redmeat, capture chance: 25% Below 2.0.0: Download: ModDB or GitHub
  6. This mod adds Temporal Mirror, you can save a point (Sneak + RMB on the block) and return to this point (Hold RMB). The mirror is crafted from a frame and temporary gear and can teleport up to 1k-15k blocks (depending on the material). Can be repaired. The frame is made on anvil or using metal casting. A wooden frame require any wooden plank and chisel. P.S. The plans add a second mirror, for teleportation to the players (Terraria forever!). And improve the model, but most likely it will already be in 1.13, when VS will support regular .obj models. P.P.S. In very distant plans, to return to the original idea of the mod and add teleportation blocks. Or put it in a separate mod. Wacky love of modularity, feel like a TE author. (There is a mod for creative teleports by McJty) Download: ModDB or GitHub
  7. IMPROVED POULTICE MOD BY DYTHANOS Welcome to my first ever published mod! [be gentle] This mod serves to add much needed features to both the single player and multiplayer experience by tweaking the current poultice item and adding a class that uses them more effectively. Poultices in this mod will now be usable on other entities allowing you to heal wounded animals and other players. (or even drifters if you are feeling cheeky!) I have also lengthened the time it takes to apply poultices (much less so for linen poultices, which are now called bandages) and improved their basic healing amounts. For example: Reed Horsetail Poultices now heal 3hp but take 1.75 seconds to apply and a Linen Honey Sulfur Bandage heals 8hp and takes 1 sec to apply. To heal yourself with this mod, press and hold the RMB while not targeting another entity. To use on another entity, you must be near that entity and press and hold the RMB. For use on another entity, you do not have to keep the reticle on the target, but you must stay relatively close by or you will not complete the healing. This mod also adds the Medicine Man class, a village wise man that communes with nature and is highly effective at using poultices on themselves or others. He lacks the youth to fight in melee and is too set in his ways to learn new technologies, but even with these weaknesses, they will be a welcome addition to any village. If you experience any bugs with this mod, please let me know below. improvedpoulticemod_v1.0.0.zip
  8. Aliases now accept arguments! You can... .commandalias new onetwo {0} {1};{1} {0} // so .onetwo one two // becomes one two two one Download from GitHub!
  9. Stability improvements and general touch-ups This release improves how aliases are handled by dynamically registering client commands as new alias triggers are added. This means that .help will show all registered triggers. As of now, VS does not allow deregistering commands so aliases will show up even if you delete them. However, they will not be saved and re-logging will remove the dangling triggers. The next update will probably include dynamic arguments for aliases and a very major refactor of the Alias class to support that. Click here to download from GitHub!
  10. This simple mod just outputs the desired message depending on the type of attack that killed the player. This is my first mod) So to speak test) Values are taken from the file .json that lies in %AppDate%\Roaming\VintagestoryData\ModConfig\DeathTexts.json By default, only one parameter is enabled. The attack type is ignored if its value is null. The mod supports "inserts". If you specify "{Name} " in the text, the mod will replace it with the nickname of the player who died. If the file is not detected, it will be created with default values. I think this mod will be interesting on the server or when passing the map) Have a nice game. P.S. The mod, of course, was tested, but in the single) if there are problems on the server, then write and I will fix it) U.P.D add GitHub ============ Этот простой мод просто выводит нужное сообщение зависящее от типа атаки которой был убит игрок.
  11. CommandMacros Ever needed to run commands so frequently that your fingers get tired? Ever think command names are too long? Just hate typing? This mod is the solution for you! It lets you create custom (client side) commands that can be bound to run any command, both server and client side, it will even talk for you! Look at the readme for a bit more detail. https://github.com/VeryGoodDog/CommandMacros If you find a bug, submit an issue on GitHub, or ping in the Discord server, I'm VeryGoodDog#0377, please include as much information as you can.
