Wolves/wolf pup. any future plans?

I know you can't tame wolves currently, nor catch them from the world to give to traders. but, are there any plans in the works that we know of for wolves and wolf pups in the world to have use besides as just enemies?

Honestly, i ask this because i do wish there was a way to deal with the pups from the wolves i kill in the area besides killing them too or putting them in an isolated pen somewhere

I believe taming wolves is on the road map but when it may come - who knows.

But alas you cannot tame them for now you can still try catching the wild wolf pups with a reed basket trap - put fresh meat as trap
