Hardware Requirements
Below system requirements are for the survival mode, the creative mode should work on even slower systems. If you encounter lag issues, do make sure you have the latest version of your graphics card drivers.
Minimum Setup (around 25 FPS on low graphics quality settings, without mods)
Operating System Linux, Windows 7 or newer, 32 bit CPU 3rd Generation Intel Core i3/i5 with at least 2 Threads Memory 4 GB RAM Hard Drive 2 GB free HDD space Graphics Dedicated (e.g. Geforce GT 440) or Integrated graphics from 2016+, e.g. Intel HD Graphics 620, Radeon R5, or similar. OpenGL 3.3 or newer Network Internet Connection required when starting the game for the first time Recommended Setup (around 30 FPS on medium graphics quality settings)

For Linux users
You will need to manually install mono 5 and might be required to do some manual configuring to make it run. As of v1.14.8 Vintage Story also works on Wayland. If you are struggling with installation, there is a guide on the wiki. See also performance tips on the wiki.For Mac OS users
We no longer officially support MacOS due multiple compatibility issues, but we will keep shipping a mac os build for the forseeable future nonetheless. If you want to play on macOS, feel free to try it out, and request a refund if it doesn't work.
- If you get a crash on startup (NSInvalidArgumentException) disable AutoHide on your menu bar.
- Adding sh to input monitoring might fix your mouse issues.
