I love how you build boats in world, and I would love it if there were more things like that.

The first thing to come to mind was the large gear, with it taking up a significant amount of space but somehow your able to carry it around.

It sounds good in theory, but then the problem becomes when you want to relocate said gear.

I don't like punitive mechanics (like once you place something you lose it) because they stifle creativity and are very unforgiving if you make a mistake. It makes it even more important to plan everything out in advance, and as someone who is already prone to go overboard, it would it burns me out because I'd spend all my time in creative mode working out designs for survival that I would never have time to implement.

Also because of the material costs in this particular game, I have never ever been able to place a gear and not have to reposition it several times as the game progressed. I would be absolutely livid if I lost the fat and resin especially

The ship at least is moveable by it's very nature. Granted you do need to be more sure of the body of water you plop it down in, since you can't tote it around, but at least you can always dig a canal.

When I made my first Clay Oven I realized it didnt need the pit kiln or any sort of drying, it was instantly completed.... In the middle of my house.

I dreaded breaking it if I had to go collect more blue clay and remake it but fortunately it was movable.

And I thank the devs for that. If you had to redo everything just to move stuff the game with be too time consuming and removing the fun out of it. You have to have a balance.

But I maybe they could add pickup mechanic for stuff like the oven, storage vessels and stuff. Would be quite fun moving around stuff without breaking them first or emptying them.
