AlloyMike Posted January 21, 2025 Report Posted January 21, 2025 Hi, I'm trying to make mostly desert world, but with some other biomes rarely present (jungle, temperate forest etc.) Is there a way to do it? I have tried various world settings (hot temperature, low humidity, normal temperature, semi-arid /arid etc.) but either you get full desert world with no other biomes or you just get small deserts right next to meadows and forests. I've tried Biomes mod but what I gathered from testing it's still mixed small-ish patches of various biomes. So. is there a way to generate 60-70% desert world?
Chalky Posted January 24, 2025 Report Posted January 24, 2025 I wish but no, the humidity setting just flatly reduces the humidity of the entire world. It would be nice if it was more like a bell curve where most of the world is desert but you can still rarely find high rain areas.
AlloyMike Posted January 24, 2025 Author Report Posted January 24, 2025 Thank you. maybe someday we will get more robust climate options.
Jumbi-sama Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 (edited) I managed to spawn in a large desert biome by setting the startling climate to hot, decreasing the amount of trees spawning and set the humidity to arid in world settings, I don't know if it works on every world generation but it worked for me Edited March 18, 2025 by Jumbi-sama 1
