I thought you could ctrl + shift + right click to add a STACK of items at once into a crate that was put on a sailboat, like you could with a normal crate, but.. it just doesn't work? I can only add/take one thing at a time, and I'm NOT doing that.
EllieTheSniper Posted September 9, 2025 Report Posted September 9, 2025 This is very late and I do not know if it changed in 1.21, but for future Google searches: Try holding ALT (keybind for making your mouse visible on screen) while doing the usual keybind such as Alt + Ctrl + Shift + Right Click. While extreamly awkward this worked for me to place stacks and Alt + Ctrl + Right Click for withdrawing stacks. P.S. Of course you will need to be close enough to and have your pointer hover over the crate you wish to interact with. Happy sailing
Survivalistor Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 As of 1.21, it is still tedious, however, it is possible to use crates by holding the stack of grain in your main hand with the slot selected, open your inventory, then hold down cntrl, shift, alt, and then aim at the crate and "left click" as opposed to right click normally. This complication seems to be due impart to the function of placing/removing items from a ship via cntrl, right click. it needs an overhaul, but i do not believe it is likely to be reworked in the 1.22 release.
