Is there a way to make items go into the inventory first before going into the hotbar? (even a mod?)

I find it a little annoying to have to keep moving items out of my hotbar every time I pick up items. I use 2 different mods that are making this a pain in the butt. Click to pick up and combat overhaul. Have to have an empty hand most of the time to pick things up with a click and as for overhaul it has a quiver for javelins but they like to fill up the hotbar if there is space before going into their bag. Please tell me there is a way to prioritize inventory over the hotbar...
