server hosting

So I'm prolly going to get a dedicated server for me and a friend but was wondering if it had a good amount of mods in it how much ram should I go with?

Are you 2 going to rent a dedicated server?

Well is it for vintagestory only or for other things as well, if other things then i would get more than 8GB RAM, but it also depends on budget you 2 have got per month so if you can tell us maximum amount, then i could probably help and suggest some places.

yeah most likely going to rent the server and only vintage story nothing else with a good amount of mods

well, wouldn't it be better to find some host that sells vintagestory server alone? 

you 2 would save on that instead of renting a dedi server for just that.

There is something called Game Server Hosting, Some places that sells just game server itself without vps, dedicated server.

It makes you control game server only, with stop, start, restart and then you get access to file manager, FTP etc, that way you pay only for game server itself and how many slots you want instead of spending on a dedicated server.

Dedicated Server is meant to do more than runing 1 game server. So you 2 would be wasting money on a dedicated server.
