Added block consumption when chisseling?

When I chissel a cobblestone block and want to add some wood looks does it then consume the added wood block?

Yes if its not in creative mode adding blocks so you can chisel with different texture does remove a block of that type from your inventory

Ok, hoped not but sounds logic. At least by starting with stone and only add a wood look it seems to not be burnable when I do so in creative
