doomstrike53 Posted April 9, 2025 Report Posted April 9, 2025 (edited) At some point I want to try hosting a game that can be left on 24/7, but there are some issues that I'm hoping changing some settings can solve. I want to have it be 20 days/month to make the seasons not go by so fast since it's always on, but that creates an issue of food spoilage which I want to keep in line with the default 9 day month. Does changing days/month affect food spoilage or crop growth at all? Any other suggestions for other settings I haven't considered? Edited April 9, 2025 by doomstrike53
Loopyfruitboop Posted April 10, 2025 Report Posted April 10, 2025 it should not effect growth or food spoilige to be honest but just because you have longer months it means you need to have bigger food stockpiles for like winter or when your crops stop growing and longer months in my opinion are better for like big farms cause the month is longer when you are in season the crops are in the right temperature for longer so it should grow a bit faster so food spoilige is not realy a problem here it just means you need to have food cause in 20 days the avarage food that is not in a crock or like grains will spoil but with crops you can get like a harvest each month so the only problem is that you need like more food for each month because a month takes 20 days
Murlok Posted April 10, 2025 Report Posted April 10, 2025 /worldConfig foodSpoilSpeed [0-10] Set the spoilage rate multiplier of all perishable foods, e.g. 0.5 means all food lasts twice as long (default: 1)
