LickMYLiver Posted April 22, 2025 Report Posted April 22, 2025 So I recently deleted the world on my officially provided server, but I downloaded it to save it in case some things didn't work out. Now I would like to restore the world but i do not know how to do that. Would anyone be able to tell me how that would work? I am using a mac computer so I'm not sure if that changes things. I was suggested Firezilla but I don't know how to use it

I wanted to use a downloaded world/seed as it looked really fun, so I found this. I am using windows though, so I'm not sure if things are different with a mac computer. All I did was put the .vcdbs save file in the saves folder, closed and reloaded the game (Maybe keep a copy of the save in another folder just in case?) and I was able to play the game world, but some of the world generation was a little different from the original (I read somewhere apparently the same seed can generate differently? but I have no idea if that's actually true and it might just be that the world gen was different because it generated from a previous game version?)
