do i have to fight the boss? will he fight me? im on passive mode. it's my first time doing the story bit.

I was researching for if a speedrun of the resonance achieves was possible. If you have the settings with creature hostility on passive he will hit you back after you hit him. If you have it on never hostile, he will sit there while you stab him repeatedly.
