why not have a stage between saplings and trees?

where they basically are shaped like the fruit trees...ish, and provide NO LOGS, but sticks and firewood, if left alone the next stage they become trees as we have them now.

also (unsure how hard it would be) but why not have leaves able to show up as 1/8th blocks? 1/2 blocks etc, something to give them a bit more variation?

im sure theres plenty of tree related mode, probably some based off or similar to the adacraft mod in minecraft, but i think this would make a large difference variation wise with little real change

It might just be due to having so many ambitions to work toward, the trees are taking the backseat. I can imagine they would love to have more dynamic tree growth.

I like the idea!
