Murklak Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 (edited) Currently, map color can be set before world start via the Survival challenges > Color-accurate World Map checkbox. It would be nice to see a third option, called "Toggleable Map Color," which would allow the map color to be changed during play. Edited July 29, 2025 by Murklak 1
Facethief Posted July 29, 2025 Report Posted July 29, 2025 Cool idea. My only concern is that the map would have to regenerate on every switch, or the map would have to be a blend of both styles until all map-rendered chunks gave been loaded.

I'm pretty sure it's just the same map all that's changed is the corresponding color for each mapped block.

I know I’ve seen map screenshots partially in both styles, likely due to switching between the styles, so I’d assume this would be an issue at runtime too.
Murklak Posted July 30, 2025 Author Report Posted July 30, 2025 It wouldn't have to regenerate on every switch. It would just store 2 colors for every point. This is a storage increase and would take a moment longer to process but I doubt either would be a noticeable issue.
