felixboy Posted August 24, 2025 Report Posted August 24, 2025 hi all. it is currently noon on sun aug 24 2025. i purchased vintage story directly on the vintagestory.at website about 30 min ago. i have confirmed my account and everything appears to be in order. i would now like to download and install the game. it is my understanding that i need to click on the CLIENT AREA and log in a second time to do so. the second login screen at the CLIENT AREA menu does not accept my login. i assume there would be some delay as the databases sync for my new account. but i am starting to wonder if something else might be wrong? 30+ minutes seems like a bit much. i have tried multiple browsers- firefox, chrome, and ms edge. cookies are enabled, and i have tried both saved automated login and manual login. nothing seems to work. is the download site down? does the server need to be restarted? is this just normal and i need to wait longer? thank you for any feedback. hugs! 1
felixboy Posted August 24, 2025 Author Report Posted August 24, 2025 oh i see! this was my mistake. i missed 1 detail. here is the current process: 1) go to vintagestory.at 2) purchase game 3) enter your name, address, payment info 4) you get a few emails. one is a receipt for the game. 6) click the other email and go through the email confirmation to validate your FORUM ACCOUNT. 7) you will get a couple more emails. you dont need to look at these now. 8 ) then click the other ORIGINAL EMAIL to create a NEW SECOND ACCOUNT for the CLIENT AREA. this is a separate other website. 9) enter your name, email, a new password, etc. create the new client area account. the client area is the other website where you download the game from. 10) in the end, you should have about 10 emails and about 10 web tabs open. dont get overwhelmed by the process. just make sure to follow the steps. it all makes sense in hindsight. that is all! you should be good to go. when i went through the process i ended up with 10 tabs from all the different pages. and i clicked on the wrong tab from the third email for the second account, then i got lost in an endless loop trying to log into the second account with the first password. that was my mistake. thanks for your time all. i hope that this info is helpful to someone in the future. i love the game, i love the devs, ans i love the community. keep up the good work all! =D 1
