Wuvbandit Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 I understand that baby animals such as elk and deer can be caught in it, but i'm wondering what else? Does it catch baby wolves and/or baby goats? Are there any adult animals it can catch (specifically the smaller species of goat and deer)?
Solution Wuvbandit Posted August 31, 2025 Author Solution Report Posted August 31, 2025 (edited) Update: Had a friend go through the json files to help me out, so I'll at least update here so anyone else who is wondering knows as well. - Goats: No adults, all babies (babies can be caught in reed as well) - Deer & Gazelle: Water deer & Pudu deer adults, all babies (except baby Pudu, reed only) - Elk: No adults, all babies - Fox: All Adults, no babies (reed only) Chickens, Rabbits, Piglets, baby Wolves, and baby Racoon can only be caught in reed traps respectively. Bears, Adult Wolves, Boar, Racoons, Moose cannot be caught at all (yes, this includes moose babies). Hope this helps!! Edited August 31, 2025 by Wuvbandit 10 1 1 1
Echo Weaver Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 It doesn't sound like crate traps add much functionality over reed ones...

Calixtus Posted September 17, 2025 Report Posted September 17, 2025 I placed a wodden trap out and it was sprung but nothing inside. On using a pick axe to pick the trap back up I lost it completely. Seems a waste of hinges and planks if it is one off use. 1

I saw somewhere else someone say they're reusable but I'm not entirely sure. It would be stupid if they weren't reusable tho Edited November 18, 2025 by ByondTime
BIGbadM1abrams Posted December 1, 2025 Report Posted December 1, 2025 Right click with an empty hand and you'll get the traps back. 1
