aeisora Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 So I’ve found myself a lovely seed and set up in a beautiful area near spawn, but after exploring quite a ways, I’ve realised I’ve got my precipitation set to semi-arid and about 70% of the surrounding area is gravel. I tried recreating the world with normal precipitation, but now it’s chucking it down all the time and all the lovely flowers that made my spawn area so pretty have disappeared. The closest solution I’ve found is to spawn in on a semi-arid setting and then use the command /worldconfig globalPrecipitation 1.5 (which I believe is between 1, semi-arid, and 2, normal). The result is a dry and flowery spawn area surrounded by less gravel and more medium soil, but it also leads to an enormous perfect square where the two settings meet (see image). Not the end of the world, but my ideal would be to create a world with 1.5 precipitation or similar in the first place. Google’s AI summary seems to think you can use /worldconfig during the world creation process, but I can’t bring up the chat console at all out of game. Is there anything else I can do?
Solution pigfood Posted December 29, 2025 Solution Report Posted December 29, 2025 You can use the 'wgen regen' command to regenerate/recreate chunks around you, either with the goal of getting your globalPrecipitation 1.5 setting or smoothing out those border lines a bit.
