TheRoro390 Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Hello, Is the formula for external temperature calculation known ? Based on the latitude, date, and altitude. From what i got with a few /debug exptempplot : - The year-average temperature in one place depend on the latitude. For example 30°C at equator (lat = 0°), and 5.6°C at lat = 58° (no idea if it's a linear relationship) - The average temperature of the day is a sinusoidal function all around year - The local temperature decrease with altitude and daytime But i would like to know the exact functions Thx
pigfood Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Have you looked at the Wiki? https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Temperature 2 hours ago, TheRoro390 said: - The year-average temperature in one place depend on the latitude. There is a pretty significant variation in local climate based on the noise map. There is also noise for the daily temperature. 2 hours ago, TheRoro390 said: The local temperature decrease with altitude and daytime https://github.com/anegostudios/vsapi/blob/master/Common/Climate.cs#L50 For the actual temperature calculation, look at: https://github.com/anegostudios/vssurvivalmod/blob/master/Systems/Temperature.cs
