Hi wolf bait hunters!
I had a new world, and this time it took me 3 years to get bees. So I decided to do 2 bee meadows, one (A) close to the place I've got the bees (a chunk with better weather), and the other (B) close to my base where I live.

I started (A) first.

(B) started populating way faster than (A), (B) has almost all skeps populated, and (A) has just 2 (I suspect the second one was just populated when I arrived or while I was working putting fences).

Both meadows have the same configuration and number of skeps. I used the wiki as a guide for them. I do not use any mods.

Is there a way to keep the chunk loaded?

So from what i know considering how you get wild bees to populate the first skep - the process doesnt need the chunk to be loaded. Many times ive encountered wild beehives a looooong way from my base and i planted the flowers around it left a skep and when i came back after a day or 2 they populated the skep no problem. What i would ask is there a long distance between Your A and B meadows - and also is there a difference in hight above sea lvl - what i mean by that is it a lot colder in of the meadows then the other. As if the temp drops to 0C or below bees stop producing or swarming.
