Pyro-Freak Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Im new enough as far as experience goes, but hit copper, and noticed the achimedes screw and immediately my brain went! Aquaducts! Only to learn they dont pump water currently, But im assuming part of why is to prevent undue stress on the games systems since if not done right it can open up some infinite potential. anyway, ive settled on an idea that may help balance that out and figured any others that chime in can keep infinite loops out mind. The rules for the screw pump that i think would help it work while also not be out right busted are 1) Simply make it placeable in water without it destroying or removing the source block, same goes for the sections - wont work if no water. 2) it can only pump water up for 2x or 3x or whatever the limit you want on it, but - based on the amount of blocks submerged in source blocks 3) it doesnt make a new source block at the top, the top ( and frankly the chambered sections above water ) could be a "pumped water " block that functions as the depth of a source block but is not actually a source because it is dependant on a powered pump - can still flow up to 7 tiles. I was just bothered upon seeing the screw pump and giving it a google and learning it only works for items ( at present, i also say pumping water is planned ) and water is not currently pumpable thus for me is not even worth the investment. If anyone has other suggestions on it chime in. - And yes i know theres a mod for a working pump but im not looking to install mods in general ( at present ) and figured id drop the suggestion while it was in my head. And of course if people think this is a good idea, blow it up so it gets noticed Cheers
Pyro-Freak Posted July 27 Author Report Posted July 27 I forgot to add that it should not be able to pump from a flowing source of water - so you cannot daisy chain it.
