On loading 1.14.2 savegame, I'm surrounded by a white fog/haze, obscuring vision until 19:00

Since starting a new casual world in 1.14.2 every time I load my game, a white fog/haze creeps in until I'm fully surrounded and can barely see a thing.

Then at 19:00 each evening, the fog lifts instantly.
