Aranai Ra Posted July 13, 2021 Report Posted July 13, 2021 I've been hosting VS games for over a year now with no issues, but all of a sudden today I can't anymore. The game gets stuck on searching for Upnp devices, and then I get "Internet hosting failed" in yellow text. I haven't updated the game or any mods since last time I hosted (when it was working properly). I've gone into my firewall to check if it's allowed, I've gone into my router to make sure upnp is on and port 42420 is open. I'm completely baffled as to why this is stuck, has anyone else experienced this issue?
Kata Seiko Posted July 24, 2021 Report Posted July 24, 2021 You shouldn't require UPnP when you forwarded port 42420.. Is the target of your port forwarding set to the correct IP address?

NotHughesy Posted February 9, 2025 Report Posted February 9, 2025 Also getting this out of nowhere. I've reset my router, forwarded the ports manually, etc. This was working a week ago perfectly fine.
Never Jhonsen Posted February 9, 2025 Report Posted February 9, 2025 I started having this issue back in 1.19.something, and have yet to figure out how to fix it. My game went from hosting just fine one day, to failing everytime since. I have also tried resetting everything, messed with the game, router, firewall, and even wiped my router, but I just can't seem to host a game anymore. I can still join friend's hosted games with no issues
