Hardware: M2 MBP Max

OS: MacOS 26.2

Game Client: 1.21.6

Game Server: 1.21.6 (Linux, Containerized, AMP)

The game runs and works well, but I have observed that any action requiring crouching and clicking simply does not work. I have swapped bindings for Shift and Ctrl, but nothing else of note. No modifier key combinations appear to get the functionality to work as expected.


Edit: Didn't realize there was an issue tracker now. A issue has been filed there, this can be closed or deleted.

Oh nice, I'll give that a look. If for some reason that breaks or doesn't pan out "DJ's Vintage Story Steam Controller Config" works pretty well out of the box though I did tweak a couple of settings to make it a bit more usable for my specific preferences. Has anyone thrown something together to get some proper metadata in the Steam client for the game?

Ok, I think it's working now. It seems to require an external mouse to play right now as even the listed "mouse fixes" don't address trackpad inputs as best I can tell. I'll take it though. I think I may try and get all these bits into a single thread or maybe put something on the PCGaming Wiki (presuming MacOS stuff is kosher there).

OP your 2022 MBP is a M series, correct? If so, would you mind detailing what steps you took in order to get it working with your system well enough to even worry about mods?
