Already done that with a torch, what got me wanting this is mostly because of The Croods to be honest. Wanna get that "me make fire!" Feeling that Grug gets at the end of the movie.
Edit: down changed to done

Eh, doesn't have the same feel as igniting a fire from it

Realistically it would be a case of put grass into fire pit, ignite grass, add sticks, finally add log/peat/coal.
Hadn't thought about that but do agree. To do it may just overcomplicate fire pit code for something too small.

Just gotta ask why? I mean the fire starter is one grass and two sticks for crying out loud. Worst case scenario: knap a knife, find grass and a branchy leaf block. All that usually done in 5 minutes or less. So what's the benefit of adding additional code to the game?
I have the reason in the main post. 1) cool ooga booga noise of clanging rocks, and 2) allows for more fun in treeless and near treeless worlds. To add on, I know it's not really useful which is why I have slice of life as a tag.

This video https://youtu.be/4IpjRyTMvbI?si=6qr5GV1cKZXwoYtf shows that you don't need steel but can substitute it with a rock that is high in pyrite. From googling rocks that at least can contain pyrite, the ones we have in the game is limestone, sandstone, and shale.
Edit: said flint instead of steel

There used to be an actual pole fishing mod, too. No idea if it's been updated. I last tried it in 1.14, maybe 1.15, I think?
Cooking perks would be nice, I guess. I ignore class (press Esc every time I load the game), but for those who like classes, it's probably a good idea.
I think its the Fishing expansion mod in which the most recent version its in is a nice 1.18.6

Would be cool if you could clang rocks together to make fires. You could hold one rock in the main hand and another in the off hand and hold shift click to clang and light stuff up. It wouldn't be useful in regular worlds but could open up the possibility for bigger challenges such as taking on treeless or almost treeless worlds, but more than that though, i want that Ooga Booga part of my brain to go off whenever I first start out.

A vintage story wiki pops up and says that the max is 13x13x13 with 6 blocks in each direction from fireplace. had the game expanded the size or is it just false information?
-
so the cross-over between vintage story and Plants Vs. Zombies is over

Lookin nice! did you use the primitive survival mod for the rope bridges?

That is the most epic story of the torch holders that i have ever read and gives me so many ideas for what i want to build if i ever find a multitude of high mountains next to each other

was the entire tree made along with the house?! if so (1 )i commend you for making such an amazing home, everything just fits perfectly, especially the balconies. (2) how do you get leaves without them breaking? was it a mod or some technique i do not know of?

the patience you've had to have in order to make is is outstanding! with it being made so long ago, I've gotta know if you have made more like this, such as another tomb or different ancient structures.

This is cool as hell! you happen to keep making these?

Cool to see you both love the game! definitely will pop in every once in a while to check out what you guys will be doing!

Looking great! I hadn't even thought about putting kitchen counters in my "kitchens" so definitely gonna use his as inspiration to do so! Now if only we could mix in cabinets with it...

This is an incredibly interesting concept of how the merchants look at us players! Makes me wonder if they also don't understand why we would stick together in groups since most of them are off on their own.

Aww. wanted to read that

I have got to start implementing this into my future builds!
