Set shadows to the lowest level - they are still pretty good then, and higher levels have high performance costs. Also turn off god rays and SSAO, both of which are performance hogs.

You can also consider reducing the view distance slider and/or the resolution slider. Both have huge impacts on performance, but unfortunately also on the visuals of the game.

Ultimately though, your computer will not get any cooler by reducing the performance impact of the game, since the computer will simply calculate more frames per second in turn. So to keep the temperature down, you need to reduce the max FPS slider. Depending on how low you set the cap, this will significantly impact how well the game plays - but, well. You want to reduce your system temperature. This is the way to do it.

Of course, the higher the FPS can go without a cap, the less you have to push the cap downwards to see an effect. So reducing the graphics settings is definitely recommended.

    Oh, ok thanks

  2. My computer has been doing some weird things lately, like, when I updated the game to 1.14.7 I was excited, because I was running the game at about 70-80 degrees (C °), and because of the update I got 45-55 degrades (C °). But on the second day I entered the game, and again I got 70-80 degrees (C °), so I was wandering, is there any way to improve this without removing the beautiful shadows? Is there any way to improve the graphics settings by manipulating some file?

I know that this does not impact FPS per-say, but I once had a graphics card that got ruined by temperature, so yeah.

  3. So, I created a new world to experience the 1.14 update at it's best and I started dying from cold temps, as if I was without clothes. And I had set that my freezing point would be bellow -5C and yet I was freezing above 6-10C I traveled far and I was still dying from cold even tho It was 15-20C. So I created a new world with the same seed (cus I like it) and the same thing freezing to death so I restarted the wolrd and for my surprise I was fine, I was no longr dying from coldnes nor freezing. So I don't really know if this is a bug but it seems to be. thanks in advance. If this is related to seed this was my seed:  (but I doubt it). And again, thanks.

For me to get my first bronze tools, I had to pan through a stack of gravel. Additionally, exploring caves can yield lots of metal. In order to use the propick effectively, I recommend enabling the alternate propick mode. The default mode tells you the likelyhood of an ore being within the triangle (after testing 3 points) and the alternate mode tells you if there are any ore actually there within 6 blocks after testing 1 point.

Oh, Thank you, I think this will help, and I will activate the the alternate propick mode. Real thanks, I will let you know if it worked for me, thankyou one more time.

  5. Like, I have a world that I can´t get from the copper age to the bronze age, It´s my first and most played world, I simply can´t find any zinc or tin. What tips do you guys have for me to finally find some zinc or tin? So like, I made a prospecting pick, but I don´t know how to use it properly, so I need help to find a better way or to know how to use it, because I follow the tutorials but I don't have any success.

Sorry for the english, it´s not my first language, and thanks in advance.
