Is there any way for me to change it via commands for my server? I would like to be able to change the current rift activity so that we can do what we want to do in the limited time we have to play together.

I'm thinking it should be a renewable source of protein in large desert biomes. I am guessing that was the Idea. I do hope they finish implementing it.
