  1. Short answer: Whichever gets us fishing with a rod faster. GIVE ME FISHING! I like the way the Other Block Game handles it, is there an actual fish mob near the bait? priorize that. The actual fish mob goes to the bait with higher change of a catch. If not, then just add some particles and if you do succeed the erm minigame or whatever, then get a fish item.
  2. There is a specific story locale with lots of surface instability... I haven't tested if disabling it will change anything there, maybe monsters wouldn't spawn or the area might be safe, having forced instability due to story reasons? Anyway, I wasn't aware that there are "unstable" areas... Just thought the portal looking things would appear at random...
  3. Wow so many comments. I guess all of us regular players got a flash back to trying to convice our friends to play with us hahah... Well, I'll try to give my two cents about it, even though it will probably go unnoticed unoticed in this hot topic. For me in vintage story, suffering and getting frustrated is indeed the main course. Struggle is needed to, eventualy, feel like I'm thriving. The accomplishment of finally leaving my dirt hut behind to live in an actual house I took time and care to design rooms, storage areas, smithing corner, etc, is one of the best feelings in the game, I've done that dozens of times at this point, it hasn't felt like less of an achievement yet. I totally get how the struggle can feel draining, sometimes I have to take a break from it from time to time, but that's what makes the peaceful and creative moments feel so rewarding. Maybe try changing the world config so monsters spawn in 10 days, make hunger slower, install mods that reduce the grind or make foods less of a hassle such as Expanded Foods.
  4. The old faces are cuter, I was very much satisfied with then. The new ones kinda scare me, especially the eyes... I mostly play singleplayer so I don't see seraph faces often, definetly not something I would mod back or fuss about.
