On the rare occasion one needs a small pelt, why can't you just cut larger pelt into smaller sections? I would like to request a mod that allows this if someone is willing and capable of making it for 1.19.8+ versions. I would expect cutting huge to make one large and one medium, cutting large to make one medium and one small, and cutting medium to make two smalls. The mechanic itself could just be a crafting recipe with shears or knife, but it would also be nice to have an in-world version where you place the pelt and right-click it with a knife or shears.
