Use the command "/player [name] allowcharselonce"
This will reopen the character creation menu in game.
Just a warning though, I believe if you're using xskills this may reset your skills.

I think GPortal might have changed things on their end, I remember not being able to get the filezilla method to work about a year ago when I last used GPortal for a server.
However, there should be a dedicated Mod tab in the server settings (in Gportal) that lets you search mods straight from the vintage story mod db with a one-click install 

Technically yes, you can add potash to farmland which will upgrade it to the next soil type, but it actually only improves the K nutrient.
Aside from that you can only upgrade from High Fertility to Terra Preta, but assuming High Fertility isn't spawning your only other option would be to craft Terra Preta from scratch.

You could try this mod, https://mods.vintagestory.at/tieredsoil , but it isn't updated for the current version of the game.

Heya, I'm actually a Wiki editor (with a grand total of 1 edit lol)
It's really simple to get editor privileges, but they don't seem to have any presence here on the forums.
It's all done through the Official Vintage Story discord server, if that's not a problem you can just ask for editor privileges through the wiki-and-translations channel.
