  1. I definitely see the mechanical arguments being made for the Shivers and Bowtorns, but I think there's a customization argument to be made, and an aesthetic question that's come up in this thread. Customization: In Vanilla, a LOT is customizable, and honestly compared to Survival Challenges and World Gen there isn't nearly as much flexibility for Temporal Stability. One possibility: radio buttons for each monster (i.e. toggling on/off bowtorns) could grow with the game, as more monsters are potentially added. Aesthetics: My personal anecdote is that I can't safely play a world that I've been showing my kiddo for years, because the designs are so effective at being intense and terrifying. I would say the aesthetics of those two monsters change the actual feel of the game dramatically, to the point where if the game were on steam refunds could become a major issue. Vanilla radio buttons are just one suggestion, but some kind of fix would make the game dramatically more accessible (which is I think a cornerstone of Vintage Story). My two cents.
  2. I am, I do, and it very much is.
  3. And drinking from the bottle? Never a full one for me, and never on my own. If you stretch half a bottle out, you and a friend could stay veryyyy wobbly for an afternoon and evening. So in the end, the solution might be ceramic shotglasses. In the meantime, staying drunk longer than a minute feels fair! Eep! This is why I have my covered outdoor drinking table. I might do some light metalwork or field scything drunk -- but no heavy spelunking. Not yet anyway
  4. So without adding any systems for tolerance or hangovers, how long would the typical person typically stay drunk from 5-6 shots of whisky, or 22? If it takes the body roughly an hour to process each standard drink (shot/glass of wine/beer), then it could be useful to look at the standard drinks in common packaging: 1L spirits = ~22 shots 750ml wine = 4-5 glasses 0,33 beer = bottle of beer Jug of Wine = YOLO Personally, if I drank a 3L jug (18-20 large glasses?) of wine, that might be my whole day. If I'm drinking from the actual container? That is, as they say, a vibe.
  5. My Friends, Be it a testament of my love for Vintage Story, that I break from the throes of gaming hedonism in order to share my most humble of suggestions: I want to stay drunk longer. So passionate am I about this, I did math! With a jug of wine, bucket of wine, a liter of distilled brandy, and a stopwatch. The jug (3L) got me decently drunk for about a minute of playtime (then 30 seconds of light intoxication). 1L of distilled brandy was over 3 minutes (with some noticeable effects after). For the effort, and for the verisimilitude, the laughs, and especially any multiplayer camaraderie after long days of distilling, let the good times roll! I'm not asking for My Summer Car, where 3L of homebrew could have you drunk for the rest of the in-game day (and shaking in the morning). But should the patch notes ever read that intoxication time has been extended (especially for distilled spirits), know that you would have made this player happy. With sincere gratitude for everything you do, Prof
