  1. Yea, but it says "charred". When it's boiled it should say (part-baked) or something similar. I think the mod author used mechanics from baking oven. Some recipes has to be boiled twice: 1st to become part-baked, and then again to become fully baked.
    I find it really confusing as well...

    Under 1.6.8 and 1.19.4, "boiling" as per the handbook (place item to be boiled in cauldron or saucepan) doesn't seem to work.  The UI notes what should happen, but the cooking process never starts.  Here's an example with balls:

    I think you need water for boiling

    Good news: 1.7.0 will be the biggest update yet!
    Neutral news: It won't have much new content, but will have a ton of bugfixes, updated compatibility, and general QoL.
    Bad news: My changelog has 40 entries and I haven't even STARTED on fixing the Wildcraft stuff yet. 😁

    It's really badly needed. Lots of present recipes don't work and some act... weird.
    Like this another example of a recipe where ingredients spoil separately (it was pilafs):image.thumb.png.10a2a501d13bfc21a71412c907fad34a.png

    What am I doing wrong here? Trying to make Raspberry Gelatin but no mix of ingredients will work.

    Raspberries are from Wildcraft mod. I've found that a lot of recipes in Expanded Foods (even listed in the Handbook) don't work anymore, unless they include vanilla or EF ingredients only.

  5. Me and my friend returned to our base from a long and far away trip. I'm not sure if anyone (it's a multiplayer server) else has been visiting our premises during that time (possibly not).

    ....And we've found that a chunk of the map is missing. It's visible as empty space, but can't go into it, fall nor interact with anything in that area. The only way to get inside is the noclip command.
    Is there a way to fix it somehow? Has anyone encountered similiar issue when running VS server?

  6. Similar issue here with 1.19.4. The game crashes as soon as it's about to download mods from the server.

    The only solution we've found was downloading and unpacking the mod package from the host.
    After that it let us connect to the server and even after removing the mods it downloads them from the server directly with no further issues.

    No idea what could be causing such behavior... Was all fine on 1.19.3.

    EDIT: reinstall, wiping all files, mods, trying on another PC, clean install, whatever - doesn't help. The only workable solution is the one above.
    My guess is that logging to the server makes some change in a file which allows for further connections and downloads - but what change and what file...

    Btw, I've noticed that when mixing salads, the time for spoiling is calculated (mostly?) of the 1st ingredient. So when I put i.e. sunflower seeds the final salad lasts for months. But when I rearrange the order and put i.e. redmeat nuggets, then the final salad lasts a few weeks top. There's like x10 difference and I'm sure it comes from the 1st slot in the mixing bowl.

    Ok update on the salads. There's something really messed up in the code for perishness.

    Looks like each ingredient in it has its own perish timer. And if one of the ingredients rots, the whole salad is rotten and inedible... While it still says "Fresh for 1,1 years"...
    The only one that stayed fresh was the one where I did not add meat nuggets.

    Extra nutrients are working fine for me in 1.19.4. I'm not sure why you'd be able to make the items but they still don't have extra nutrition - I haven't seen that before.

    Yeah, it works (still on 1.19.3 atm). I was testing it in creative mode - spawning sub-components. When I did everything step by step in survival - it comes out as it should. So, it was a user error. ;)

    Yes, it works in 1.19.3.

    It does not fully work in 1.19.3. Most of the recipes don't provide bonuses and offer little satiety, so they are cost-ineffective to cook.

    It's an awesome mod and I'd really love to be use it fully...

  10. Thx for the reply.
    With the 1.18.15 I just installed the game again to a separate folder.

    But I don't have the 1.18.15 anymore. I've done clean reinstall twice alread - only 1.19.3.

    EDIT - SOLVED!!!

    Ok, I think I've got it fixed. My config file for 1.19.3 had not enough texture atlas space. To fix it I just had to increase it in the clientsettings.json
        "maxTextureAtlasWidth": 8192,
        "maxTextureAtlasHeight": 8192,

    Default was:

        "maxTextureAtlasWidth": 4096,
        "maxTextureAtlasHeight": 2048,

    Smaller increase might be enough, depending on the mods I guess.

  11. I'm fresh new to Vintage Story and I've been testing various new mods and servers. I've been playing with friends on a modded server without any issues.
    But for one of the servers I tried, I had to install a parallel v_1.18.15 version of the game. I think that was about the moment when I started having weird issues with the game.

    Namely: some textures in some mods (various mods of various authors) get wrong on some objects. My friends have the same mods and experienced none of those issues...
    Primitive survival (ore textures on fish)

    Medieval Expansion (messed up textures)

    Better Chests (textures bug out when open)

    Bricklayers (textures bug out when open)

    These are just few examples, but there are more.
    I've already did a clean install twice (uninstalled through Windows uninstaller) of the game, and removed whatever was left of the game folders (Vintagestory and VintagestoryData).
    Confirmed mod folders (both server and local to contain the same mod files).
    Tested the mods one by one on single player - they work fine when alone.
    Pulled out a few hairs and grew a few false ones..

    Does anyone has an idea what might be causing it? Does the game keeps data somewhere outside the Vintagestory and VintagestoryData folders maybe?
    Help...
