  1. I'm still playing 1.19.8 with a bunch of mods in an Exploration Mode world with Keep Inventory on (I know it's not actually called that, but I don't remember what it's actually called). And every time I go exploring for something that has nothing to do with mushrooms, I somehow always end up foraging for them by the time I decided to do /kill and respawn at home! I currently have 1 and three-quarters of storage vessels full of various mushrooms from my travels! Cause like, there's SOOOOOO MANY mushrooms that you can actually EAT in comparison to the Other Block Game! And the fly agaric mushrooms are actually POISONOUS!! And there's other poisonous mushrooms and even some deadly ones!! I sincerely hope that the devs plan on adding mushroom farming to the base game (don't worry, I'll check the roadmap after making this post!)! What are your guys' favorite mushrooms to work with for your in-game meals? Mine are red wine cap mushrooms because there are SOOOO many spots of red wine cap mushrooms near my base, but I also like indigo milk cap mushrooms, puffball mushrooms, paddy straw mushrooms, and lobster mushrooms! The witch's hat mushrooms are very aesthetically pleasing, too!
  2. Helloooooo! Bought the game several months ago upon the recommendation of my older brother, and so far, I LOVE it!! My older sisters are considering buying it for their homeschooled kiddos (mostly teens and preteens, so none of them will be making forum accounts anytime soon), cause all six of them love Minecraft, and with how much more realistic the survival aspect of VS is, the kiddos might like it! Plus, the eldest of the kiddos has read H.P. Lovecraft's work already (as has his mother), and seemed to like it, so I think he'd appreciate the Lovecraftian horror aspects of the lore and worldbuilding in-game! But that's enough about them! This intro is to introduce me!! I'm Esor (he/they), an AuDHD fantasy artist/writer who loves sandbox games like Minecraft and Vintage Story (obviously)! I have a ton of art related to my two WIP high fantasy New Adult original stories (a multi-part one that used to be a Minecraft fan-fic and a one-part story that involves some repurposed RWBY fan characters) and a ton of writing in the form of lore/worldbuilding/actual story relating to those two stories! Not quite ready to share either story quite yet, but I don't think I'll be sharing what I have of the lore/worldbuilding of either story in this forum, cause neither story has anything to do with Vintage Story (plus I can infodump for hours about each story, lol!). That being said, I do like recreating my OCs from each story as Seraphs in Vintage Story, and recreating my eldritch deity persona, Esor Ogramira (the minor eldritch deity of Time Blindness cause yes), as a Seraph, too! I'd have to say that my favorite thing about Vintage Story is the fact that your maximum health will change depending on your balance of nutrition! Plus, the domestication system is really cool and definitely more realistic that Minecraft's domestication system is!
  3. I think I've figured out why I can't seal my barrels. I just need a stack of cured hides to seal the thing, and I only have like, three to my name, lol! And I now know that I need 50 salt to turn 5L of water in a barrel into salt water and 50 lime to turn 5L of water in a barrel into limewater. I didn't realize that before, and I never noticed it on the Wiki or in the in-game guide to working with leather and preserving foods. So you folks can just disregard this post!
  4. I've clicked on the seal button for my barrels with stuff in them and nothing happens. I've clicked on the seal button with planks in my inventory and nothing happens. Why aren't my barrels being sealed??? Do I really need a full stack of items in a barrel to seal them??? I'm clearly missing something and all I want to do is preserve foods and make leather for armor!!
