I'll have to try and do some more research on it, the water is fresh water from a pond. It might be some bug or issue in my world, I'll have to look into it...

I am putting lime in the barrel, I made lime from marble so I don't even have limestone. (and it's not quicklime either) I crushed the rocks to make lime and put the lime inside the barrel in the ratio I described earlier. At first I thought that maybe I need to wait for the water to mix and waited for two in game days just to be sure, but by doing a bit of research it seems that I should not need to wait. Also, I am playing without mods.

I know this sounds simple, and there is most likely some little detail that is obvious but I have failed to notice, but I have not been able to make limewater for leatherworking. I have put water and lime inside a barrel, using the 1L:1 lime ratio described in the guide book (aka 10 lime per 10L water) Is there something I have misunderstood or is there a fault in the game itself? I've tried various other things too but I just don't get it. Beginner troubles really as I've never done this before.

Hi, I've started playing the game about a week ago and have grasped the basics decently well. But I am in no way good at the game yet and need a few possible suggestions from the lot of you better players. I've encountered a couple temporal storms and have managed to evade them by cowering in a dirt hole through the whole thing, because the higher level drifters absolutely murder me instantly. I know that you can make armour in the game, but I haven't been able to make any defensive gear fast enough to counter the problem. I'd like to stop cowering in a hole and encounter the threat with a little bravery. Does anyone have good suggestions for a beginner like me? Thank you for reading this!
