Quick little thing, I know its on the roadmap, its simply a suggestion on how it could be improved.

Howdy ho fellers I've been playing VS for a month ish, and I absolutely love this game, and have been playing multiplayer with a bunch of friends for awhile now, but one thing I can kinda "Complain" about is the combat obv. I also love games like Kingdom Come Deliverance and Mount & Blade Warband, and I think a directional based combat system would fit amazingly into this game. I see it being somewhat easy to implement and teach since its so simple in games like mount and blade. along with that mor armor styles could also fit. maybe making tabards out of cloth. this game has so much potential, and I'm so excited to see what they do! (Biased for a directional based combat update tho fr, would be best update ever imo)
