My question is the title but if you're reading this then, you are pretty friggin cool.

I really like this idea as its realistic and not burdensome to implement.

I've been thinking why there's not much when it comes to iron, in reality the iron age is essentially the start of steam power and because of steam there's many things we could do like maybe have electricity and therefore use lights and stoves and such. If there are any opinions on this feel to comment or ask questions.

I usually make a stone roof so I can use wood wherever I see fit also you can just do 2 lightning rods to cover your base.

Maybe add a crafting recipe to where 2 logs of the same type connect at a diagonal so they could be used on corners?
