I have Better Ruins mod but I've had that for a bit and have no issues on other world gens. I ended up deleting the world because I believe it somehow became a corrupted save as when I returned to my spawn point it also suddenly had missing terrain. I know unexpected stuff can happen anytime in a game but this was my favorite world gen, I even renamed it Home Sweet Home and of course I didn't remember to write down the seed but perhaps I will find a better world gen in the future.

I tried the ctrl + f1 but it didn't do anything

Setting it to Always on Top has seemed to fix the issue.

I really don't think this is a bug, I think it's just something weird that is happening and I'm wondering if anyone knows why? First off my pc specs exceed the minimum requirement to play. Also I am playing version 1.19.8. The weirdness is as I am playing my game will suddenly throw me to the desktop. My game has not crashed and when I click in the taskbar to go back to it, the game is paused as if I hit esc. So not sure what is happening but it can be really annoying and it is not tied to anything I'm doing in game atm, it's totally random. Anyway thank you for any help or suggestions I can try. Also I really new to the game.
