Yes now that I've poked around about treasure maps/buried treasure I believe it's something like a bug too. I haven't played VS in awhile so my memory is kinda weak rn but this save in particular is the first one I made just when I got the game so it's completely vanilla. Now that I've played for awhile and have made different worlds tho I know this save is like.... just shit in general. bad spawn, terrible luck with ore generation, and it's had some atypical behavior like this ^ so I wouldn't be surprised lol I'm just gonna give myself a map back and go a few hundred blocks away to see if I get something better.

Is it normal to not get great loot from treasure maps? because every time I've used them I've gotten like nothing from them
