  1. The handbook guide for "solidified rendered fat" says to let the fat cool in the cooking pot and then "dump it out" using Ctrl and Right mouse. The problem is if I do that onto the cooking pot, I pick up the cooking pot and DESTROY the fat. This really needs to be made more clear. How is this supposed to work exactly?
  2. Ahh actually it could be a ladder issue, strange I never recalled having that issue, was that changed in 1.21?
  3. Weird, I really recall the 3x3x3 build working well for bears. Last time I used this method was in 1.20.
  4. Previous hunting method didn't work for me, did they ever explicitly state if bears can climb out of these now, or can they use ladders?
  5. I have a big problem with this game, I am tired of fighting the Rustborn. I think they suck HORRIBLY and they get old so fast. I have a Gambeson body armor and an Iron Falx and it's already over, I can handle anything in the game. What is even the POINT in making up to Plate armor??? Plus I absolutely hate how Temporal Storms, AND how the general spawning works. Being based on darkness is a Minecraft holdover that needs to go. I want to establish territory without having to DROWN out an area with lanterns, just like Minecraft I want enemies to spawn in big batches AWAY from wherever I am and manually move into my territory ORGANICALLY. Because then it actually becomes worth building defenses. I am very desperate for 7 Days to Die gameplay, because there is no hope for 7DTD anymore. This game is FAR more stable, FAR more adherent to survival realism, and allegedly more moddable. So I ask you, Do you know of any mods that add the kind of threats I am looking for?

  6. I could write a whole essay about what VS needs but for now I'll keep it as short as possible: The way hostile enemies in this game works is awful and boring (Just like Minecraft). I need to find mod(s) that will help bring the enemy spawning and attacks as close to 7 Days to Die as possible. Hostile creatures (including wolves and bears) NEED the ability to attack blocks, period. I also need a very clear way to establish "territory" that prevents hostile mob spawning, but enables hostile mobs OUTSIDE that territory to enter it to attack. I'm also looking for a more complete realization of gravity, ALL blocks should have levels of stability. You might find it unreasonable to request all this but I disagree. Minecraft is DONE, last I played was 1.12 and it has not moved an inch in quality since then. And 7 Days to Die began it's downward spiral at 1.17. It's an un-optimized, poorly designed mess even when "released". But the core gameplay loop of surviving to make a weekly "tower defense" is still better than VS. Now I ask you, comparing 7DTD's quality with VS, what would be easier: Fixing 7DTD with mods to have the level of optimization and survival accuracy of VS? OR Modding VS to have all the systems I described above. I know these mods don't exist *yet*, but please tell me SOMEONE else is interested in them existing. A complete block Gravity system, territory system, hostile enemies destroy blocks system, and horde assault system. If you know of anyone developing ANY of these, please, let me know so I can go support them. And if literally nothing like this was even hinted by someone, I guess i'll have no choice but to make it myself.
