Actually just did the math for the first time, and a stack of flint for 8 stacks of fire clay isn't that bad of deal, and with my decent stock of it, it just makes sense to craft it. Thanks again LadyWYT

I got lucky and found quite a bit of obsidian so switched to using that instead of flint, but I'm still aiming to find a Bauxite area to gather fireclay in lieu of crafting it, it's a bit discouraging though, I've travelled 10k blocks in 2 separate directions and still no bauxite. At least finding and exploring ruins along the way has been fun

Thank you, happy to be here! I checked for a little while, got a few stacks of brown coal out of it, but no fireclay, I've walked about 10k blocks west of spawn and have yet to find any bauxite. No orange on the map whatsoever besides some flowers/bushes. Inventory is way full so gonna drop stuff off at base and head east next. Hoping for some luck lol

So does fire clay not spawn under brown coal as well?
