  1. Hey @EmperorPingu, just wanted to say this is such an imaginative and thoughtful idea! I really think you put alot of care into outlining this mod concept — it’s clear you’ve given a lot of thought to how celestial navigation and clockwork could enrich the exploration experience in Vintage Story. The way you’re trying to bring more realism and depth to navigation and time mechanics is genuinely inspiring, and I think it taps into the best part of the game and one that so many people would love to see expanded. Even if this project doesn't end up being a mod, I think there’s already a lot here for the creators to think about. The mechanics, the more realistic star behavior, clockwork elements, new navigation tools, this could be an amazing way to teach CelNav in the real world — it’s the kind of idea that could evolve in so many fun directions. Thanks for sharing it, and for being so respectful and encouraging in your approach! You're so awesome! Sincerely, Green
  2. This took a few tries, but if anyone runs into the same issue. Find and open the serverconfig.json file in your server's data folder using a text editor. Locate the "SaveFileLocation" setting and change it to point to your world's save file, which will be in the format ./data/Saves/YourWorldNameHere.vcdbs. Save the serverconfig.json file and restart the server.
  3. Sorry in advance if there is already a guide, I'm not really sure what exactly I'm asking. So I had a multiplayer server running. I've learned to update it. I've had people join. But I was messing around looking at different world generations in single player, and now when I start the server file a new instance is created. I've tried deleting the created files in the "save" folder, the only remaining file is the old game instance, but I can't figure out how to tell the game to use that file for the online server. Any help would be greatly apricated. Sincerely, GreenBoots
