Seeking players for a new collaborative, clan-based RP server running on version 1.20.12. The server will be modded, including (but not limited to) Legacy of the Phanerozoic series, Expanded Food, Primitive Survival, Combat Overhaul, From Golden Combs, and a handful of additional quality-of-life mods. It will be hosted on an Australian server, but ping is generally mostly fine for non-Australians based on experience from previous servers. The server will be session-based, with each session spanning 48 hours, and one session per week. Exact days/times will be discussed later in-discord. Follow this link to join the discord: https://discord.gg/yx4D6aaMSJ Here's some lore for you to chew on! ------------------------------------ It was a normal day in the Cobalt Coast, and you are a horrible Seraph. Or just a regular Seraph, if you'd prefer. Let us set the scene. These lands have long been tamed. Bright, shining cities span the idyllic coastline of boardwalks and soft sand, bleeding into bustling suburbia before giving way to a gentle pastoral dream of fields upon fields of softly-swaying golden grain, bleating goats and softly-bubbling creeks, twining between gentle slopes. This has been your home for as long as you can imagine; no more frontiers to explore, and any resource you could need at your fingertips. Your soft, supple hands have never had the need to hold a weapon before. The Rust scourge had been cleansed from this modern utopia generations ago, now just a whisper on the tongue of your dying elders, remembered from stories their own grandparents told them. Yes, it is a perfect world you live in; stable, safe, and prosperous. Until it isn't. It came suddenly, with little warning. At once, the sky seemed to yawn open, screams trumpeting from the clouds above as they gather from fat, fluffy white marshmallows into thick, dark, burgundy storm clouds; the ground rumbles ominously, and the very sun itself seems to dim, bathing the skyscrapers around you in a sickly rust-red light. Your senses warp; sight, sound, smell, all of it is wrong. Indeed, that is what you feel most strongly, right now, above all- a sense of wrongness, permeating everything you know. Spectral gears turn in the corner of your vision, grinding unpleasantly on caked-on oxidization but nonetheless continuing to rotate, ceaseless in their efforts. Dark veins begin to crawl forth from them, taking out large portions of your vision. A tightness overwhelms your body, like being squeezed through a tube; with a last, contrastingly bright-blue glow, you blink, and you are gone. When you awaken, the first thing you notice is the smell. Earthy, rich; petrichor so thick and heady, like you have never experienced before. The air is heavy with it, making it hard to breathe, as though there is too much oxygen in your lungs. It makes you dizzy, and it takes you a long time before you can sit, then stand, then observe your surroundings. Gone are the concrete pillars of the modern-day Seraph. No roads lie beneath your feet. It is dusk, but a purer dusk than you can ever remember seeing before now- no city lights mar the sky, pushing artificial day into the dark hours. The only sounds to grace your ears are the soft whoosh, rustle of wind through leaves and, further away, the back-and-forth ocean-spray sound of waves gently creeping over empty sand. You turn towards the latter sound. There, where hundreds of buildings and roads and cars and then the boardwalk should marr your vision of the ocean, stands nothing; the land slopes down to the beach, and then to an endless, cobalt-blue ocean, impossibly fresh and clean compared to the bilgewater-greygreen it had been at last sight. The coastline is similar, if not the same; you're in the same place, you know it, but... Perhaps not the right time? ------------------------------------ Welcome to the Cobalt Coast! You have been thrust millions of years into the past, out of your normal, everyday modern life and into a world filled with dangers both natural and supernatural, with nothing but the clothes on your back to accompany you. To survive, you must group up with your fellow time-travelling Seraphs and begin to build this world anew. Who knows what could be creeping through the underbrush... Grab some teammates, form some clans, and get ready for a new adventure! It's dinosaur time, babey!

Howdy all! Just a general update for any folk who might stumble across this post late. We have just finished our second winter, and are firmly in the Iron Age. We have yet to do the Resonance Archive, but are gearing up ready to do so! There's still plenty of positions open for new players to get heavily invested into, from smithing to cookery to tailoring and alchemy and beyond! We hope to see you on the Cobalt Coast!

Our official start date is 23/03/2025, 4AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time! We are still more than happy to welcome new players in to join us!

Welcome to Cobalt Coast, A modded Vintage Story roleplay server ran by and for queer and queer-friendly folk as a fun and safe place to play. Cobalt Coast is 18+ only, hosted in Australia, but welcome to folk from all over the world. In the Cobalt Coast, you will play as one of three playable species (facilitated by the ‘Kemono’ mod- Seraphs, Beastkin and Fieldfolk) and join one of two infant colonies hoping to find and found a new home in untamed lands- folk indigenous to the continent, but from farther afield who are fleeing the encroaching horrors of the rust world that have haunted them for time immemorial, or new settlers who have shipwrecked here escaping famine and war, unused to the temporal instability of the region. With structured jobs and specialisations, the hope for a functional economy, and the plain old need for survival, there is always something new to be doing in the Cobalt Coast! Welcome in, and have fun! This server will be starting up within the week, once we have populated the important roles of each team! If you're interested in team leadership, it's the perfect time to get involved! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Full modlist available here.
